It would be a huge bonus if you are smart and silly. An excellent sense of humor coupled with smarts is a big turn on. Drama and neediness is not. I am comfortable with myself and am looking for someone who is content to be himself.
I am seeking a best friend...someone who wants to take the time to get to know me before assuming there is a relationship. Rushing into a relationship is so backwards to true life. It would be wonderful to just get to know someone slowly and decide after that if there is a spark, or better yet, let the sparks come BECAUSE you have spent a lot of time getting to know each other and have developed that respect and devotion.
I love travel and hiking, camping and luxury hotels, sailing, music and cooking, dancing in the kitchen, great wine and the company of friends. I really enjoy baseball at the park. GO GIANTS! Kayaking and a canoe on the Russian River is fun. How about disc golf, going up to the telescope in Sugarloaf, drives up the coast while gabbing our heads off? What do you love?
An excellent sense of humor is a huge bonus.
PLEASE NO FLIRTS! Take the time to write something personal.
I DO NOT RESPOND TO MEN WHO ARE SEPARATED OR EMAILS THAT HAVE NO PICTURE, IT'S ONLY FAIR THAT YOU POST ONE.
I am also writing a novel and hope to get it finished soon since I have about 6 other books in my head waiting their turns.
Being creative really gets the juices flowing whether that entails something artsy or something more homegrown.
I am a cat owner and enjoy the companionship of a friendly pet. A dog is something I would love to have in my life but not until I retire.
I walk frequently for health as well as use my eliptical and try to eat healthy but do enjoy those treats now and then!
It's pretty rare for me to be down or blue...life is just too much fun to not enjoy it.
Books, I can't live without them....I am a voracious reader. I love soft jazz but really dislike electronic jazz. Celtic, folk, and good old rock n roll are a few musical favorites but I also enjoy the symphony and even the opera.
Remember when you used to find someone you were interested in and it took you ages to talk to that person despite the quick and shy glances? Then many chats when you bumped into them, then lunch at a favorite little place in town? Then a trip to a carnival or the beach...and the time passed and you laughed and got to know each other and developed healthy respect for each other and slowly, and as that time went on, you realized THIS is a person I want to be with? So, you held her hand for the first time?
That is real life. SO many times, people rush and hurry now, trying to fit round pegs in square holes because they feel the need to get to 'real relationship' status before any of the true preliminaries have even occurred.
I don't want to rush, or be rushed by someone else.
Slow and steady ....slow and steady.....you just can't rush these things.
And, if you got this far, the personality test results on this site are so bogus. Just because I refuse to answer any questions related to sex ( since it is no one's business except my future partner) it says I am less interested LOL.. Ditto for the capitalistic question....what a weird thing to say about someone so down to earth. I have to laugh and trust no one takes these things seriously.
Things I hope to do? Panning for gold, digging for fossils in Utah or opal mining in Nevada. See Italy, get back to Hawaii.......and have a partner who thinks those things are fun.
Care to join me?
