My self-summary
Saucy, independent woman with a love of humor and fun looking for a great partnership. Having cruised through my 50's and soon to be heading into (no don't say it! ) my 60's with grace and good humor, I am hoping to find a man who is planning on LIVING the second half of life rather than 'surrendering to the inevitable'. I love the thrill of debate, lots of laughter and deep long discussions about life and love and the Universe we live in. And kissing, must never forget the kissing. But, kissing comes with affection and that takes some time.
It would be a huge bonus if you are smart and silly. An excellent sense of humor coupled with smarts is a big turn on. Drama and neediness is not. I am comfortable with myself and am looking for someone who is content to be himself.
I am seeking a best friend...someone who wants to take the time to get to know me before assuming there is a relationship. Rushing into a relationship is so backwards to true life. It would be wonderful to just get to know someone slowly and decide after that if there is a spark, or better yet, let the sparks come BECAUSE you have spent a lot of time getting to know each other and have developed that respect and devotion.

I love travel and hiking, camping and luxury hotels, sailing, music and cooking, dancing in the kitchen, great wine and the company of friends. I really enjoy baseball at the park. GO GIANTS! Kayaking and a canoe on the Russian River is fun. How about disc golf, going up to the telescope in Sugarloaf, drives up the coast while gabbing our heads off? What do you love?
An excellent sense of humor is a huge bonus.

PLEASE NO FLIRTS! Take the time to write something personal.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a nurse and an EFT practitioner. Deep conversations about the universe and the wonder of it all are high on my list. I am very interested in how quantum physics works, how it means we are all a part of everything and how we can effect change by changing our perceptions. Lots of great stuff for conversations and 'what if' scenarios.....
I am also writing a novel and hope to get it finished soon since I have about 6 other books in my head waiting their turns.
I’m really good at
Sonoma County has so much to offer....kayaking, hiking, wine tasting, heading into the city for all sorts of cultural things... I do a lot of gardening and love animals of all kinds...
Being creative really gets the juices flowing whether that entails something artsy or something more homegrown.
I am a cat owner and enjoy the companionship of a friendly pet. A dog is something I would love to have in my life but not until I retire.
I walk frequently for health as well as use my eliptical and try to eat healthy but do enjoy those treats now and then!
The first things people usually notice about me
I smile a seems like people tell me that quite often.
It's pretty rare for me to be down or is just too much fun to not enjoy it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love movies, anything from action adventure, sci-fi, indie and foreign film and chick flicks, especially love comedies..but avoid things that are sad, depressing or violent. I recently saw Judy Dench in The Exotic Marigold Hotel and loved it!

Books, I can't live without them....I am a voracious reader. I love soft jazz but really dislike electronic jazz. Celtic, folk, and good old rock n roll are a few musical favorites but I also enjoy the symphony and even the opera.
Six things I could never do without
Well, my kids and grandkids are the first on that list....but, travel and learning new things as well as cooking and nature have to be included. And the ocean.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...I really want a friend who is reliable and kind. I want to take my time to get to know in real life.
Remember when you used to find someone you were interested in and it took you ages to talk to that person despite the quick and shy glances? Then many chats when you bumped into them, then lunch at a favorite little place in town? Then a trip to a carnival or the beach...and the time passed and you laughed and got to know each other and developed healthy respect for each other and slowly, and as that time went on, you realized THIS is a person I want to be with? So, you held her hand for the first time?
That is real life. SO many times, people rush and hurry now, trying to fit round pegs in square holes because they feel the need to get to 'real relationship' status before any of the true preliminaries have even occurred.
I don't want to rush, or be rushed by someone else.
Slow and steady ....slow and just can't rush these things.
And, if you got this far, the personality test results on this site are so bogus. Just because I refuse to answer any questions related to sex ( since it is no one's business except my future partner) it says I am less interested LOL.. Ditto for the capitalistic question....what a weird thing to say about someone so down to earth. I have to laugh and trust no one takes these things seriously.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sonoma County is such a special place in the world and has so much to offer. Aren't we lucky to live here? There are so many wonderful ethnic restaurants and great wineries. Any small venue for great music, farmers markets and flea markets are all fun. But, nothing beats a quiet night at home with someone special or camping in a quiet place with a nice fire and a bottle of wine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Maybe later...
You should message me if
If you play cards and games, can tell tall tales (but not lies, and know the difference), if you love to cook or are willing to enjoy mine, love a fine wine with special dinners ...we might be a match. Do you love tropical vacations, snorkeling and stamps in your passport? How about photography? Hiking, CAMPING sailing and exploring? Do you read good books? How about kayaking or canoeing on still water? All good.
Things I hope to do? Panning for gold, digging for fossils in Utah or opal mining in Nevada. See Italy, get back to Hawaii.......and have a partner who thinks those things are fun.
Care to join me?
The two of us
