Gintama (like, really)
green olives, esp. on pizza
I am somehow both aloof and neurotic. It's really hard to get anything to "stick" for me, but when I do get into something, I get in deep. I'm the kind of person who listens to one song on repeat for hours or a single album/playlist for weeks, or play the same game several times in a row. Basically everything else is dead to me. I'm not too adventurous, excepting my cerebral wanderlust. I like things to be simple and easy.
Also one or more of the following: Defrosting Ice Queen, Kuudere, Tsundere, The Snark Knight/In Sour Armor, Ditzy Genius, Cloud Cuckoolander, Meganekko.
Writing about things when I have no business doing so. My dumb site is idiotfromindiana.com. Highly recommended. I don't mean that.
Graduated from IU, double major in anthropology and linguistics. I want to go back to school, but I'm still narrowing my field of study.
procrastinating (like, SO good)
napping (cf. above)
buying books and not reading them
starting things and not finishing them
I'm good with makeup but rarely wear it. I think of it as an art to be practiced, and I do that late at night in my pajamas with noplace to go.
I like gaming but I'm not good at (most of) them. Nolan North has called himself more a "fan of the gaming industry" and that's a pretty good descriptor for me too. I'm not into games like War of Duty, Medal of Warfare, Honor Call, etc.
I'm a linguist, which means I can tell you lots of theoretical things about languages I don't speak. Presently learning kanji for the express purpose of reading Moeyo Ken. (History nerd lyfe.)
Movies: Hawaii Oslo, Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, Kongen av Bastøy, The 13th Warrior, Primal Fear, Soldier, Fight Club, O Brother Where Art Thou, Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies (once every five years or so), older Disney stuff. Foreign films, mostly so I can listen to the languages. I also love action movies. Recommend some.
Anime: Gintama, Samurai Flamenco, Darker than Black, Natsume Yuujinchou, Death Note, Attack on Titan, Bleach. Currently reading Gintama, Chihayafuru, Saezuru etc etc, Kaze Hikaru. You are seeing some patterns emerge, right? If you can see the *underlying thread in this profile I might just love you forever.
TV: I don't give a shit but some enduring favorites are Battlestar Galactica, Futurama, DS9, Third Watch, Pushing Daisies, Lost (to a point, let's say), Newsradio.
Games: Assassin's Creed series (with some exceptions), Mass Effect series, ilomilo, Persona 4 Golden, Skyrim, Fez, Puzzle Bobble, Picross (whatever ya got), all the Pokemans, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. I've never really done tabletop but I could be persuaded.
Podcasts: Stop Podcasting Yourself, The Flop House, Worst Idea of All Time, Giant Beastcast, Giant Bombcast, Stuff You Should Know, Adventure Zone, The Atheist Experience/The Non-Prophets, occasional other MaxFun and Stuff podcasts.
Music: Kaizers Orchestra, Nickel Creek, Alison Krauss, Billy Talent, Mutemath, ドーズ, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Video game and anime soundtracks. Classical.
Food: I rival Chie in love of steak. I haven't had much Turkish but I adore Anatolia in Bloomington. American Chinese. Indian.
good nail clippers (including a pointed file)

Gintama. (Did you really not see that one coming?)
The art of voice acting.
How atheism isn't a religion but it's the best way to get the point across on here.
Canada. It seems lovely.
Grammar Nazis. As a linguist these people really, really offend me.
What would Brian Kinney do.
I think Blade Runner is a bad movie. Eat it.
My natural state is "curse like a sailor" and it embarrasses me sometimes, because I'm often the only one in this state.
I have several video game and anime crushes, and exactly one celebrity crush.
. . . you punctuate your sentences. Please. Please.
If all you have to say is "Hey", "How are you", "What are you up to", "I'd like to get to know you better", or variants—this will be deleted immediately. You have been warned.
