I am easily bored, secretly crazy, and kind of a nerd
Okay, I write ministerials and (rarely) the odd piece of policy.
Seriously goddammit 500 words in a profile? I don't like talking about myself that much.
WAIT WHAT, 1000 now? What is this, a novella? I've always wanted to write a novella, mostly because it's easier than a novel. There's not much of a market for them though I hear. I read a Dashiell Hammet novella once and it left me feeling slightly unsatisfied, so I can see why. It's not long enough for the tension to develop properly and then it ends way before you think it should.
I'm not good at being persistent. I get bored and then want to do something more and then that's the end of that. Novella's just seem easier. They're what, 20-30 000 words? Maybe up to 50 000.
Oh dear me. My job involves a lot of writing, so I think I am probably getting better at that. I do kind of want to become a novelist, though.
My favourite movie is Dr Strangelove (or how i learned to stop worrying and love the bomb). Peter Sellers makes me lol. I wish lol was a more acceptable word irl. I also really like Ponyo, which is weird because I don't really like children's movies or anime. ITS SO DAMN CUTE.
Actually I should mention here that I have just started watching Dexter again and it is FANTASTIC in several different ways.
My favourite bands are My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, and Belle and Sebastian. AND MORRISSEY. Goddamn do I love me some Morrissey.
I ONLY EAT PASTA
I can do without internet for set periods. As long as I know when I get it back. My family has a bach in the Abel Tasman which has no electricity and as long as I have enough books for the rainy days it's fantastic! I don't know why I check facebook so much anyway, it's very rarely interesting :(
Twitter makes me kind of angry, possibly because I don't understand it enough to enjoy it. I just don't get the point and I have nothing much to say that is worth putting into 160 characters or less.
I don't have much to say that takes more than 160 characters either, but that's more or less beside the point.
Also if you live in Wellington and want to make friends. I'm really shy in real life :(
