My self-summary
Writer. Grad student. Human container for pizza and existential angst. I love historic graveyards, empty hotel rooms in weird random towns, and a good, themed outfit. I try to find uninhibited moments of childlike joy wherever and whenever I can. At my best, I've been told that I radiate sunlight and unconditional love. At my worst, I dramatically cry in my underwear to Joni Mitchell's "Blue" album and leave my friends a lot of drunk voicemails.

If you obsessively listen to the Pete Holmes "You Made it Weird" podcast, we're probably soulmates.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a grad student at WKU, teaching English comp, writing a book, and trying to live in the moment for the first time, like, ever.

Tbh, I'd really just like someone smart, cute, and funny to lay in bed with, write dumb songs about, and share terrible puns. If you're into that, hit me up.
I’m really good at
I have this kind of magical talent where I can make someone a perfect mixed CD after only meeting them once.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm human and female.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors/Poets/Writers: Ray Bradbury, Raymond Carver, Zadie Smith, Richard Siken, Ocean Vuong, Danez Smith, Kurt Vonnegut, Joe Dunthorne, Neil Gaiman, JK Rowling, Bret Easton Ellis, Matthew Dickman, Joan Didion.

Shows: The Office, Parks & Rec, Mad Men.

Music: The Front Bottoms, Sufjan Stevens, Father John Misty, Magnetic Fields, The Mountain Goats, Neutral Milk Hotel, Vampire Weekend, etc.

Comedians (not a category, but it should be): Maria Bamford, Bo Burnham, Simon Amstell, John Mulaney, Pete Holmes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Outer space. Dead writers. Silly/weird/fun new-agey spiritual stuff. How I've been able to hear a train at night in every place I've lived. Surviving the Apocalypse. Surviving finals week.
On a typical Friday night I am
Very tired.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I graduated high school and moved out when I was 16.

I'm a feminist, and that probably doesn't mean what you think it means.

I'm most afraid of heights, that ghost girl from "The Ring," snakes, and dying alone.
You should message me if
Tell me about your latest existential crisis. Tell me what you're passionate about. Be yourself. Also, I am 10000% down to hear your thoughts on anything Mad Men related. If you can't tell me the last book you read, I'm probably not the lady for you. (Bonus points if you're into poetry!)
