I love sports, the arts, chess, good food, better conversations, politics, my friends...
I grew up on the East Coast but lived in Ottawa the past 15 or so years. I spent most of that time working in the performing arts (first as a musician, later tour managing, producing concerts and organizing festivals in various styles of music, contemporary dance, hip hop). Left that scene in 2014 and went back to working as a ski patroller in the winter and a soccer referee in the summer. Life has been good these past years - relaxed and healthy. Now looking forward to seeing what TO brings.
In terms of dating: I am really not in a rush - I'm looking for someone friendly, intelligent and patient first; athletic / fit, who has diverse interests including the arts and music second. Feminist, capable women are incredibly attractive to me.
I'd like to identify what my counterpoint is in another human being, but until the end of 2017, my focus is on my own development and training for a job that is very high stress (while the job may not be as bad as everyone says, the training certainly is). It will have huge rewards once I'm licensed, but for now requires being my number one priority. To deal: I try to exercise daily, eat healthy, get the rest I need, study... and it would be nice to have someone to spend time with, and get to know, when the time works for both of us!
