My self-summary
I love being in nature--hiking, camping, canoeing. I'm looking forward to going back to Killarney with my younger daughter this summer for some back country camping. Last October I started horseback riding. It's soooo challenging but worth the rare moments when everything I've learned so far comes together and I'm one with my horse. A couple of winters ago I started X country skiing to enjoy winter more. Wicked cardio! Watched in awe as people of all ages skated past me leaving me in the dust. I was looking forward to it and dreading it remembering moments of utter transcendence and complete exhaustion but I've not done any X-country skiing this past winter as I've been nursing a shoulder injury from falling off my horse.

As far as work goes I was a flutist for the first half of my working life--teaching mostly and performing classical music with piano, in chamber ensembles and in orchestras. Still love going to hear the TSO and the COC. I have a high school teaching certificate in French and English and worked for a while in my late 20's and early 30's as a teacher. Now I'm a yoga teacher and get pleasure helping people get out of their heads and feel great in their bodies.
What I’m doing with my life
Passionate about Nonviolent Communication --Marshall Rosenberg.
Willing to try new things--my daughter took me to my first Jays game this past week and I loved it. So if you have seasons tickets and want someone to go with --I'm game! Catching as much of the Eurocup as I can.

Planning future travel: France to practice my French.......back to New Zealand for the hiking and beauty......

The six things I could never do without
Life can teach us to do without anything. I hope I never have to do without my daughters, meditation, yoga, family, friends, teaching. I'm not into casual sex--would make some things easier if I were--so I seem to be doing without intimacy these days:(
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My teaching, anatomy, how the body works, how to serve my students
On a typical Friday night I am
Body Blitz with a friend/ AGO Friday nights/ early night after a long day and a class to teach early Saturday morning
