What I’m doing with my life
Music. Putting humanity into technology. Seeing if I can change the machine from within.
I’m really good at
creating things from scratch.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a story.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music:
It's my life. For my friends, I provide this service: you text me a location, feeling, or some important detail of the present and a few artists you are into, and I will respond with some things to listen to.

House & techno are a thing for me. not edm. i'm probably going to be a 70 year old man still trying to experiment with electronics, sounds and rhythms. Allergic to vegas, Coachella. I have a studio for fun.

I'm quite into rinse fm, a london pirate station that plays quite good electronic music and grime.

Radiohead & whatever Thom Yorke is doing. Burial, Boards Of Canada, Phillip Glass, Can, Sigur Ros, Portishead, Massive Attack.

Film scores by Thomas Newman, Atticus Ross & Trent Reznor.

Hip Hop and Grime. Clipse to Missy Elliot to Kendrick Lamar to political stuff from London.

Guitars and feelings. Nine Inch Nails, Bowie, Nirvana, American Analog Set, Tears for Fears, Interpol, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode.

Movies:
Blue is the Warmest Color. American Beauty. Anything Catherine Breillat, Solondz. IFC shorts. Talk Radio. Asian revenge flicks. French indie stuff. Anything deeply hilarious, incredibly moving, dark, with excellent cinematography, or just has a unique method of tending to the details.

Books/Authors:
Lorrie Moore is easily my favorite writer.

I stay religiously on top of media, even media I passionately disagree with.

Books that changed my path: Brian Eno: Visual Music, A Photographic History of West Coast Hip Hop, Opening Up, Survivor, Days of War Nights of Love: Crimethinc for Beginners, Unbearable Lightness of Being, Cradle To Cradle, Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The six things I could never do without
The people in my life who care enough to push me to be better. There has to be at least six, at any given time.

And coffee.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
attaining a deeper sense of empathy.
On a typical Friday night I am
work too late. get on bike. take the long way. wear headphones. hip hop or techno. art opening? catch the end. ok, dinner time. easy to get in at 9pm. go to the nice place, you only live once. buy your friend a dinner. should i go out after? dessert sounds good. there's a good party? she's a great dj. can't believe i'm still awake. was a long week. feel spent. give all i have, then give everyone a hug. raspberry bars are in the cupboard. eat the last one.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think the hottest attribute in any person is a honest, strong sense of self. Close second is a great smell, natural or enhanced.
You should message me if
You know you, you would like to know me.

Bonus points for:
you are an expert, in anything
working up a sweat on the regular
having a fluid sense of gender and/or sexuality
you like techno/house/drum n bass
you think guru + premier was a combination that will never be matched
