My self-summary
This site seems to show me as online constantly even though I'm not. some browser tab or iphone app issue, who knows.

Originally from the northeast and grew up there (brr) -- I moved to San Francisco in 1998. I do software stuff.

I'm easy-going, fun to be around, goofy, and playful.
And- self-aware, sincere, intelligent, and unselfish. Conversational and introspective and a good listener. Sometimes I'm sarcastic and can sling a little too much alleged witty banter, but I've gotten better at not overdoing it. ;-) I'm thoughtful, kind, generous and chivalrous. I love getting to know people and learning what makes them tick. No matter who it is. Everyone has something interesting about them.

I love to hike, walk, work out, bike a little, urban hike, hit the beach, the park, sunbathe, frisbee, whatever -- to just get outdoors and keep moving..

Sometimes I get a song stuck in my head for days at a time. This week? You sexy thing by hot chocolate.

Yes I love to travel, but I sure don't seem to do it as much as most (all?) people on this site do - Y'all make Rick Steves seem like a recluse. I did live in Belize for 6 months last year, though.

I'm the curious type who's always wanting to learn knew things, and I read voraciously. Making dinner with friends always seems to turn out to be the best way to spend a night. But of course I also love heading out for drinks/dinner, shows (comedy, music, anything..), mischievousness, etc.

I believe in miracles.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
how so many people are just *oblivious* to the fact that there could be people behind them who actually want to WALK up or down the escalator steps that they're blocking. I guess these are the same people that barge in through elevator doors without looking, surprised as hell that the impossible has just happened -- there are actually people *inside* the elevator, and they're exiting! Who could've ever guessed?? Don't get me started on moving sidewalks.

When did pizza places stop *ladling* sauce on the pizzas, and start brushing or spraying it on? Like, almost as an afterthought? wtf?? Did they ask Tinkerbell to sneeze a teensy bit of sauce onto the crust? If I wanted an order of cheesy bread shaped like a pizza, I would have placed an order for cheesy bread shaped like a pizza. Now please go and put some damn marinara sauce on that damn pizza pie, sir! Before I call 911 already..

Why is Shia Labeouf famous?

When did the word 'gift' become a goddamn verb?!?

Hey this ranting thing is fun!

Also: I wonder if there is an okcupid question about one or two spaces after a period. Because let me tell you, I have a very specific stance on this issue.
On a typical Friday night I am
Listening to Mahler's 9th with some Earl Grey tea and a banana split, while reading my well-worn copy of Godel, Escher, Bach.

No, not really.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've never seen La Dolce Vita. Or Waterworld.

Apparently, I am completely incapable of competently folding a fitted sheet.

noddin' my head like yeah, movin' my hips like yeah...
