My self-summary
queer. non-binary. musician

into music, art, comedy, podcasts, cinema, television, performing arts, alt media, food, cooking, permaculture, human culture, diy culture, polyamory, linguistics, geography, history, philosophy, politics, feminism, socialism, science, public radio, college radio, and 90.1 the beat

basically enfp, but i score very high (sometimes over 50%) in introversion and thinking (too long, don't read: i like mbti, but the good critiques point out, rightfully, that it is reductionist af. there are a lot more than 16 personality types)

aquarius sun, scorpio moon, cancer rising

on the cusp of ravenclaw and hufflepuff (donatello/michaelangelo)
What I’m doing with my life
music and comedy

cultivating practical skills

fighting reductionism, absolutist thinking, and binary choices
...and capitalism. it's been tried. the shit doesn't work, folks
I’m really good at
analysis, writing, performing, learning, versatility, bricolage, farming, appreciating art, shopping, finding free stuff, fixing and making things

singing, guitar, bass, drums, keys/buttons (i wanna start a band with you)

snuggles, cuddles, hugs, kisses, holding your dang hand
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: I lean toward nonfiction: American Nations by Colin Woodard. Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. Our Band Could Be Your Life by Michael Azerrad. Everything by Michael Pollan, and Al Franken (i was raised republican so this was important at the time.) And the Autobiography of DMX. I really want to read those dang books by David Byrne and Patton Oswalt. I read a lot of internet instead of books these days.

MOVIES: Comedy, Documentary, Art House, Drama, Concert Films, Stand-Up Specials, Musicals. I'm praying for Gator Cinemas to re-open soon. That was my joint.

SHOWS: Star Trek (all of em), Treme, Louie, Portlandia, Key & Peele, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Garfunkel and Oates, Flight of the Conchords, Blunt Talk, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Cartoon Planet, Lucas Bros. Moving Co., Arrested Development, Adult Swim et al., late night talk shows, sketch comedy shows, Jeopardy!

MUSIC: Mostly indie rock and hip-hop, but I like all kinds of stuff. Ask me! I could talk about music for days. I'm a pretty major music nerd. I play around town and around the country a lot. Shows not concerts!

FOOD: I like to grow and cook food when I have time. I started a small urban farm in town (sry it died. nothing gold can stay) I also like restaurants, especially dank counter service joints. I don't like eating cucumbers or raw tomatoes. Give me another ten years to work on that. I forage for a lot of my food.
Six things I could never do without
movies & tv
big cities
I spend a lot of time thinking about
seizing the means of production, making drugs more legal, freeing most of the people in prison, figuring out what to do with the rest of the people, getting a truck to run on wood, cooking and heating with wood, having my own or collectively owned land and crops and animals, ill rural areas in which to locate such things, dope cities in which to exchange cultural information and benefit from proximity, places where you can do both, song ideas, joke ideas, art concepts, making dank spiritual connections, holding hands, kissing, cuddling, hugging, affection, how to make everyone like me, how to be more assertive, how to be queer, how to not pointlessly gender everything, how to book more sick diy shows
On a typical Friday night I am
hopefully on a dang date or playing a heckin show
You should message me if
if you are into things like music, art, culture, food, technology, learning stuff about things...we probably might get along pretty alright

if you're an artist or queer or just a really nice (and/or sincere, honest, passionate, empathetic) person

if you take your craft/calling seriously but don't take yourself too seriously wow
The two of us
