My self-summary
Living and loving life, non-stop off beat sense of humor, actually sane, smart, easy going(non-manic), professional musician/teacher; love my work, friends, family, would like to share the joy with someone closer; user of semi-colons. Into healthy living but not uptight about it. Gourmet burgers and shots of tequila at Kuma''s Corner or Lockdown(shorter waits) are still cool. And I still SAY "cool", got a problem with that? Like the arts, artsy or ridiculous films, outdoors, thoughtful conversation, going hog-wild when appropriate.
What I’m doing with my life
Making great music-Latin jazz, timba and more. Teaching music to kids, adults, disabled and non-disabled. Living and giving the dream; going hog-wild when appropriate.
I’m really good at
Cooking with you, eating with you, feeding you one spoonful at a time, dancing with you, inhaling your aura, making you feel incredible, writing funny and/or romantic songs for you, having mind-ripping conversations, baring my soul, picking out the best music, and just "being" with you. And making you laugh, either through witty banter, forbidding you to laugh(reverse psychology) or surprise tickling(this your one and only warning).
The first things people usually notice about me
My awesomeness and my modesty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Robot Wars(British Version), World, jazz, classical, r and b, rock, bluegrass, others. Latin fusion, sushi, home-made mole, risotto, fresh fish, Chubby Hubby.
Six things I could never do without
Living in a way that makes a difference for others, living in a way that makes a difference for otters, Thelonious Monk, Jalapeños, Coffee and Dinosaur Comics.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Canoeing down the peaceful Kankakee, finding the secret Japanese Garden along the lake front, charcoal grilling specially marinated rib-eyes and/or eggplant, home-made hollandaise sauce on asparagus, the perfect wine(still searching), salsa dancing, tango class, steppin', making art for the pure joy of doing it, hitting Pilsen, Hyde Park, or Lincoln Square, catching some amazingly hilarious production at the Cornservatory or some soul-cleansing improv, finding the best view of the lake or the moon or the stars or...each other.
On a typical Friday night I am
In search of the atypical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This is the internet, right? And it's visible to like, the whole world almost, right? So, as soon as I admit something in this spot it instantly becomes the LEAST private thing about me, right? So, the thing I'm admitting here is that I just had the previous inner dialogue.
P.S. If you're editing one of these boxes and you click on style guide, it uses the word awesomesauce in the examples. Try it!
You should message me if
You like to laugh A LOT, value quiet time as well as a rich mix of social settings, enjoy being warm and tender with someone you trust, like some geeky stuff, are open to new people and experiences, agree that a life of quality is determined by what you give more than what you get, and that "the best things in life aren't things", yet you are willing to guiltlessly indulge yourself in exquisite pleasure-seeking adventure with me on occasion(frequent occasion if you're good).
