I'm a former hard liberal who generally stayed out of the political, but then I realized that my values are more traditional and the leftist level of hypocrisy does not represent me at all, and quite pisses me off. Classical liberal is the term that best describes me though I cannot in good conscience identify as a liberal or democrat at all.
I've been more than patient with the left leaning establishment, and I'm down to hear opinions I don't agree with, but I can't help but feel like everyone is a lefty/libtard on here.
I think it's just New York, but I have friends here who feel similarly to myself.
If you can't get past my conservative values, don't bother. If you want to judge me by something other than my political affiliation I'll give you the same attempt at respect. If you're not bound by left or right politics, then I also welcome your point of view (though I find it increasingly difficult for anyone to be that way nowadays).
If you are also right leaning (aka sane) then that's all the better.
I have a Bachelors degree in English Literature and that's why the paragraph above is perfectly punctuated, and the spelling's on point as well. I currently work for a law firm. My dream job is probably going to involve music, though I'm aspiring to be a writer. Music truly is my passion, and I'm good with most any instrument (all the ones I've tried so far anyway). I work in Manhattan, but I'm not particularly fond of the city, though it has its upsides. The country and wilderness speaks to my spirit.
Poetry and freestyle rapping.
Discussing philosophy, music, and art.
(To sum up a quarter of a lifetimes skill set or interest list in a single list in one sitting is asking a lot. Message me and I'm sure I'll remember something new XD)
Cinema is a big part of my life. Goddard's Breathless, Marx Brothers movies, David Lynch, The Big Lebowski, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Hard Candy, Evil Dead Trilogy, all assortments of bad horror (good horror is seldom found), Shaun of the Dead, Sword of the Stranger, old horror films, old films in general, anything Marvel related, Wes Anderson movies, Kevin Smith, Monty Python, In Bruges, Boondock Saints, American Psycho, Akira, Buffalo '66, The Neverending Story, Labyrinth, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, many more
I love Always Sunny and Rick & Morty! Adventure Time, Breaking Bad, Orphan Black, Stranger Things, Walking Dead, Mighty Boosh, Sherlock, Gravity Falls, Dr. Who, South Park, Firefly (anything Joss Whedon gets his hands on, really) and a bunch of others. Lots and lots of different anime. Favorites include Neon Genesis Evangelion, JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Code Geass, Kill La Kill, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo
Music is where this gets complicated. I LOVE music. Most music. Most all music. Its too hard to list bands, but some of my favorite genres are swing (20s 30s 40s stuff), shoegazing shit, folk, metal (from the classics to the extreme), some select country, jazz, avant-garde, progressive, punk, electronica, trance, noise, video game music, some rap & hip hop, and a plethora of others. I also am an unashamed advocate of Kanye West. He's deeper than he seems. I'm always looking for new stuff, so any suggestions welcome

Where are we in the universe?
The universe as a whole and Carl Sagan
Politics on occasion.
Words in general.
Sex in general.
The fact that I just listed Mike Patton directly after sex. Weird, but appropriate.
The Marvel universe.
I don't drive. I live near the city and public transportation has been enough for me thus far, but I'll have a car in the near future.
If we have similar values, that would be ideal, though I'm not expecting much :'D
Do not message me if;
You are misandrist (wasn't going to put this, but a profile here proudly proclaimed it and that ticked me off) do not value differences of of opinion, philosophical conversation or intelligent discourse along with troll random humor, you can't take a joke, you are too politically correct for your own good, you never want to go out and see the world. You think safe spaces are a good thing for society at large
