My self-summary
Navigating a big metropolis where I don't speak the language is a perfect day for me.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm a product manager at a big tech company. It's intense but I love it. I balance things out by playing hard - long bike rides, parties, traveling with friends. At this point I'm considering forcing myself to take a couple hours every week and not do anything, just to remember what it's like to slow down.

I recently spent a couple years overseas - six months traveling overland from Thailand to Turkey, and a year and a half working for an agricultural development non-profit in east Africa.

This is an amazing place to ride a bike; I get up early a few times a week and ride up in Marin.

The rest of the time, I spend a lot of time looking for good food and good music. San Francisco has a lot of both. (Good beer, too - still looking to try Black Horse Pub.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Most days my favorite book is Saul Bellow's The Adventures of Augie March. Also Borges, Joyce, Alice Munro, Walter Benjamin, some of Chabon's stuff ...

Food: Aside from "anything good", I lean toward a lot of southeast Asian and Sichuan, which is also what I cook for myself.

Music: Stars of the Lid, Nicolas Jaar, Pantha du Prince, Charles Mingus, Kate Bush, Ghostface, The Fall, Spoon, New Order, Wire, David Bowie, Oneohtrix Point Never, Orbital, The Orb, Aphex Twin ...
On a typical Friday night I am
going out - dancing, parties, ??
You should message me if
... any of the below are true.

You're intelligent, kind and adventurous, and you value those things in yourself.

You studied critical theory or philosophy and are willing to put up with my stupid questions.

You know the bouncer at Berghain.
