My self-summary
I aspire to be a humble, competent, average guy. It's a journey and I just keep plugging along. I'm not one for dressing up and going downtown. I prefer stopping at the corner bar for tacos after work.

The question "Who am I?" is my existential crisis. I am analytical, but try to avoid self-analysis. Not terribly emotional or passionate, but getting better - I enjoy being around expressive people.

I haven't made up my mind about dating again. I've been single for while and I quite like the flexibility it affords. It would be nice to find someone to go adventuring with, sit down for meals, snuggle, enjoy the quiet moments of life.
What I’m doing with my life
Started a new career as a millwright last year. I get paid to tinker, fix machinery and fabricate stuff out of metal. It fulfills my need for problem solving and critical thinking without having to be in a cubicle or behind a desk. I travel a bit for work, but home is in Minneapolis

I enjoy wandering. Finding places new to me, whether a street I've never been down or parks and trails I've always meant to go see. I drive a lot (30k+ per year), usually just for the adventure. This spring I went on a road trip out east because I didn't have any work scheduled for the week. Made it to New Brunswick and Maine before circling back towards home.

I always seem to have a couple projects in progress. Usually some minor problem that I have decided to fix; often involving trips to Ax-Man Surplus or Fleet Farm to wander up and down aisles looking for just the right widget.

Currently plotting the ideal hammock setup for hiking and camping. I'd like to take a week and hike Isle Royale end to end. Need some practice runs at state parks or along the Superior Hiking Trail to shake out any problems and build up the endurance.
I’m really good at
Jeopardy! and Trivial Pursuit, overthinking everything, reading maps and navigating, bricolage.

Passed out on the couch after the work week - I'm often asleep by 8 or 9 on work nights. I get out on Saturday and Sunday afternoons to work on projects or go wandering.
You should message me if
you want to go out and do something. Perhaps: hiking, cross country skiing, hockey (playing or watching), just take a leisurely stroll. I also like eating. What are your favorite restaurants, where is good that I probably don't know about?
