My self-summary
I represent kids in family court (custody battles, kids in foster care) and school discipline proceedings but spend a lot of time thinking that maybe I should have just stayed a teacher (I used to teach PreK in DC). My plan is to take my law degree, go to Washington and try to dramatically change the quality of education in this country but sometimes I worry that even my passion/determination/stubbornness might not be even to change the system. I might very well ended up being an extremely over-education, debt-laden PreK teacher/principal again but for now, lawyer it is.

P.S. I went to Harvard. Hope that's not an issue. Also, "What, like it's hard?" Reference, so I don't seem (too?) douchey:

Also, I really really like Bruce Springsteen. Like my other career plan is just to become a Bruce groupie.
What I’m doing with my life
Figuring out how to request vacation time not that I'm not on a school vacation schedule for the first time ever.

Also, brunching, reading, dancing and looking foolish, going to Brandy's on the UES and looking foolish, binging on TV, seriously considering getting a dog.
I’m really good at
Wrangling a class of four-year-olds. Scoring good Bruce Springsteen tickets. Being funny both intentionally and accidentally.
The first things people usually notice about me
My sarcasm and as my four-year-old students used to tell me, "You're a giant!"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Anything by David McCullough, books about U.S. Presidents

Movies: Harry Potter, Almost Famous, Musicals, Documentaries. I'm willing to watch pretty much any movie once if it's not a horror film.

Shows: Netflix autoplay is the devil and also the best thing ever. Also The West Wing. West World. Game of Thrones. Jane the Virgin.

Music: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Elton John, Beyonce, Van Morrison, Adele, Florence and The Machine, The Beatles, Alabama Shakes, Hamilton soundtrack, really anything...there is very little music that I don't enjoy, especially if it is being performed live.

Food: I'll eat pretty much anything
Six things I could never do without
Purpose. Passion. My people. Bruce Springsteen. Delivery. New Adventures.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next time I can eat brunch.
On a typical Friday night I am
this must be a lingering tradition from my teaching days (you try going hard on a Friday after 10 hours with 25 4 year olds) but my favorite Friday night activity is happy hour and then calling it a night. Saturday night is my go-to night for shenanigans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I would like to be a greater fool...bonus points if you know the reference.
You should message me if
you want to travel the world and/or change the world, potentially with me!
