This is giving me serious flashbacks to writing personal essays for college. The horror.
I am working on a law degree now but spend a lot of time thinking that maybe I should have just stayed a teacher (I used to teach PreK in DC). My plan is to take my law degree, go to Washington and try to dramatically change the quality of education in this country but sometimes I worry that even my passion/determination/stubbornness might not be even to change the system. I might very well ended up being an extremely over-education, debt-laden PreK teacher again but for now, law school it is. And yes, I go to Harvard. "What, like it's hard?" Reference, so I don't seem (too?) douchey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CyFj0lMCso&feature=kp
Also, I really really like Bruce Springsteen. Like my other career plan is just to become a Bruce groupie.
Oh and I swear I do things for fun besides go to law school, brag about it and think about teaching.
When I am not learning about whether a tomato is a fruit or vegetable (see Nix v. Hedden), I am brunching, reading, dancing and looking foolish, binging on TV
Movies: Harry Potter, Almost Famous, Musicals, Documentaries. I'm willing to watch pretty much any movie once if it's not a horror film.
Shows: The West Wing, Sports Night, Studio 60, Law & Order: SVU, Gossip Girl, The Good Wife, The Ricky Gervais Show, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, NOVA
Music: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Elton John, Beyonce, Van Morrison, Patti Scialfa, Straight No Chaser, Jeff Buckley, The Killers, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift (no shame), Florence and The Machine, The Beatles, really anything...there is very little music that I don't enjoy, especially if it is being performed live.
Food: I'll eat pretty much anything
