My self-summary
After my last long term relationship ended two years ago, I'm giving it a try here.
I’m a fun and outgoing person. I like sarcasm and sometimes make silly jokes that can sound challenging. I consider myself very independent, optimistic and confident. These are the traits that I value a lot.
I’m interested in a wide variety of things from art and music to nature, cooking, tinkering…… I like to play and make music and always wish to practice more. I’m active and try to be attuned to the geography and seasonality. Snowboarding in the winter, hiking and camping in the summer are what I love to do more. I also practice yoga regularly. I cook well and I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
I enjoy traveling a lot and have spent many hours on the plane both for work and for vacations. I’m writing this offline on a 15 hours long flight over the North Pole.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in a design industry and try to make it benefit the environment more. I enjoy what I do but always open to new directions and ambitions. I’ve made a few major changes in my 20s and I don’t think it’s ever too late to try something new.
I’m really good at
Being myself and keeping my life in order. I tend to make the best of the situation and look forward. I want to become better at deep listening to people.
The first things people usually notice about me
It totally depends on the circumstances and the people. Well you can tell me when we meet. It could be an easy ice breaker.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some Books: JD Salinger’s short stories, Norwegian woods, To kill a mocking bird, Just the kid, Louise Gluck's poems.
Movies: there are just too many to name. I love all of Pedro Almodovar’s films, especially the most recent two, Volver and The skin I live in. A few others that I can think of right now include Life of others, goodbye Lenin, Spirited Away, A separation, old boy, to live, life is beautiful, Nebraska
Shows: Fresh Off the Boat, South Park, and Top Chief are pretty much the only TV shows that I have occasionally watched online. I haven't owned a TV for at least 15 years.
I'm a sucker for podcasts though. Here are a few of my favorites: invisibilia, snap judgment, radio lab, the moth, and the old this American life episodes.

Music: just too difficult to list since my music taste is quite eclectic. Some examples currently on my iphone are Tarwater, Cinematic Orchestra, Matthew Dear, Einstzende Neubauten, Bjork, Sufjan Stevens, José González, Massive attack, Gorillaz, Bang on a Can, Erik Truffaz, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Laurie Anderson, Ali Farka Toure, Jazz from ECM label, Underworld, Jeff Beck, Arovane, David Bowie, Lusine
Six things I could never do without
Family, home, friends, goals, music, and my wallet (not about cash but about my ID, T pass etc.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The balance between the present and the future.
How to become a better and more ethical person. I also often think about how to be more productive while procrastinating.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes I would go out with friends, see a show or just cook some good food then have a beer while watching a good movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Actually there are a few questions in the profile that I think are quite private already. See if you can find them.
You should message me if
You are genuine, independent, respectful and fun.
