I'm a mechanical engineer working on a giant telescope and a wannabe creative type. I am always doing some kind of crafty project. When I lived in Boston I was an improviser and I am slowly trying to get into it again out here. Right now I am taking classes at UCB.
I love to bike and I am sad that LA is not as bikeable as Boston, but I am adjusting. I also love hiking and getting outside as much as I can. If you want to bike around LA or hike Griffith park I am your dude.
I have been overwhelmed since moving here at all the new stuff to do. I am slowly acclimating myself and would appreciate it if anyone wanted to show me around.
Here is a short list of favorites -
Movies - The Fifth Element
Shows - Anything by Joss Whedon
Food - All of the foods
Music - Right now I am listening to a lot of electronic music but I have a pretty broad taste. My favorite band is m83, and I will insist I liked them before they were popular even though that is an incredibly hipster thing to say.
More on the open relationship:
My partner and I have been together over two years and have always been non-monogamous. There are many types of non-monogamous relationships and I am by no means an expert but here is how ours works. We like to casually date as a way of meeting new people and making friends. We like to form strong friendships and connections with people but we are not looking for committed long term relationships out side of our own. Understandably, this is not for everyone, this just works really well for us.
You want a new friend to grab a drink with or go do something fun.
You want someone to help build you a bunker to help ride out the Trump years in.
