My self-summary
I'm a passionate, radical, queer, violin playing feminist who is striving towards anti-racism.
What I’m doing with my life
Figuring out what I'm doing with my life. Currently busking/playing the occasional gig in SF to make some money, hanging with friends and looking for spaces to build radical community with revolutionary potential. Also playing pool. Lots of pool. I think I'm addicted.
I’m really good at
I'm generally pretty modest, but this just doesn't seem like the appropriate venue so...

Giving massages! And I actually really enjoy it. I'm the type of person that finds genuine happiness in giving other people pleasure, and I have a bit of an intuitive sense of what makes folks feel good.

I'm also pretty decent at the violin. I went to San Francisco School of the Arts and have been playing since I was 6.

I'm good at flowing with opportunities as they present themselves. I can be spontaneous, and I enjoy taking risks in the right situations. Kinda got a nack for figuring out how to sneak into places/talk my way out of them.

I'm a good dancer. Well, sort of. Definitely not your typical kind of dancing, but I have a good sense of rhythm and bounce/spin/flail/whatever to music in ways that some people find intriguing.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends... From the front it would probably be my eyes. From the back more than likely my ass. Of course that's assuming you're shallow as all hell and are only interested in my physical features ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and the Amber Spyglass). They had a big influence on my childhood and will always hold a place in my heart. Also in the genre of childhood sagas: Harry Potter, Narnia, Redwall, and some other epic adventure/fantasy tales. I recently read and really enjoyed Octavia Buttler's Parable of the Sower. I'd also suggest Charles Mills' The Racial Contract to everyone and anyone, as well as Andrea Smith's article Heteropatriarchy and the Three Pillars of White Supremacy. And a million other books and articles so I'll just list some authors: bell hooks, Subcomandante Marcos and the CCRI-CG of the EZLN, Andrea Smith, Loic Wacquant, Frantz Fanon, Immanuel Wallerstein, Peter Gelderloos, the list goes on...

As for movies: Catch Me If You Can, The Big Lebowski, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pulp Fiction, Planet Earth, Aladdin, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Oceans 11, Waking Life, The Usual Suspects, Zoolander, Good Will Hunting, Annie Hall...

The Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr. Who...

I don't really have one genre of music I stick with. Some of my favorite artists: Ani Difranco, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Akron/Family, The Coup, The Dam, Devil Makes Three, Rebel Diaz, Dead Prez, Lowkey, Thievery Corporation, Andrew Bird, The Dodos, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Gaby Moreno, Gogol Bordello, Grateful Dead, Iron & Wine, Laura Veirs, Lauryn Hill, Malory, Manu Chao, Megafaun, Modest Mouse, Pretty Lights, Regina Spektor, The Roots, The Shins, Ska-P, Sublime, The Tallest Man on Earth, and lots more subject to change with my mood.

I LOVE FOOD. I'm a burrito addict, obsessed with Indian food, Sushi fills my heart with joy, good French food can blow my mind, Thai food is the shit...there really isn't any type of food I don't like.
Six things I could never do without
Meaningful connection with other creatures, music (including playing my violin), love (not necessarily romantic), agency over my body/life, an ability to positively affect the world around me, and mangoes (mmmmmm so good)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Privilege, systems of oppression and radical alternatives to them, my place in the world, what I'm going to eat, the people that I love.

The coming collapse of Capitalism and ways in which we can begin to build the world(s) we want to see from the rubble.

How every person has their own infinitely complex life, complete with crises, loves, secrets, genius... an entire reality separate yet connected to my own
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting shit tons of free food from the Munchery warehouse and then playing pool or going to a show or dancing my ass off or going home and pigging out or some combination of the above.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm really not a very private person at all, but I can't think of anything worthwhile to put here. Feel free to ask whatever.
You should message me if
You are a considerate, open-minded and non-judgmental (at least not hastily so) person.

You like to dance and want to go to a club/show one of these days.

I'm interested in meeting platonic friends, friendly folk with the potential to be more than platonic buddies, and people who are potentially interested in casually hooking up.
