My self-summary
For me life is simple: I'm serious about treating others as I would like to be treated, and I cherish the company of family and friends.
What I’m doing with my life
When I'm not working, I like to practice the drums, attempting to make coherent beats out of flailing arm movements. I like to go see live music at small venues.
I've also been trying to make more time for yoga.
I’m really good at
Asking questions.
Making a really good sandwich or quesadilla.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'll let you answer that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite movie: Table for Five (Can you believe that Jon Voight wouldn't let that little old man join them for dinner?). Maybe it's more that this movie made an impact on me for some strange reason. It was one of those movies HBO would show over and over again when I was growing up and I just kept watching, wondering what Jon Voight was going to do with all those children in the middle of Egypt, what was the fate of the old man who had just lost his wife before they could go on there 60th wedding anniversary on an all expenses paid cruise, knowing now that he no longer had a dinner date and that Jon Voight had an extra seat at his Table for Five!...very dramatic...come to think of it, stupid movie, don't watch it.

Some other favorites include: Being John Malkovich, Johnny Stecchino, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Muriels Wedding, Delicatessen, A Room with a View, anything by Woody Allen (especially Sleeper), anything by Pedro Almodovar (my favorite being "Life Flesh".)

I love music, including lots of 80s New Wave. I recently saw Yann Tiersen and I think the man is a genius, his music will move you to tears, maybe a little sob too. Other favorites are Mew, The Thermals, No Age, Asobi Seksu, Peaches, Soft Circle, Mason Proper, Pulp, Cymbals Eat Guitars, The Wake, Serge Gainsbourg, The Cure, The Horrors, Dead Can Dance, Bauhaus, to name a few. I also like listening to The Big Broadcast on Sunday nights on WFUV, they play 1920's music which always makes me extremely happy even though it can be very melancholy at times.

Food: I could go on and on about food . . . I love all types of food and I love to cook. The more complicated the recipe the better.
Six things I could never do without
1. My friends and family
2. Humor
3. My cat
4. My tongs (for cooking purposes)
5. Good dark chocolate
6. Ice
I spend a lot of time thinking about
well right now, figuring out what I spend time thinking about.
At other times I'll think:
-Does this plastic get recycled?
-Why don't I do more yoga, and how great it would be if I did more of it as I'm doing yoga.
-How do the elder get around the city's subway system?
On a typical Friday night I am
catching up with friends in Brooklyn.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In time . . .
You should message me if
You have an open mind.
