My self-summary
Digital product managing. Bike racing. Reading. Hanging out with my dog. Writing.

Leaving the city in some manner every weekend.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a Product Owner at an Internet company you've probably heard of. I make sure we're doing the right things in the right ways at the right times.

Constantly trying to be faster at all the things.

Taking care of my 3-legged french bulldog. She's the greatest thing on Earth and takes up a lot of time, too. But, y'know, in the good way.

I ride bikes a lot. I race for a team, so I'm also looking like an idiot riding around in lycra pretty much every day.
I’m really good at
Making coffee. Drinking it.
Coming up with the right word or phrase for just about anything.
Driving across countries without sleeping.
Thinking of too many things at once.
Showing people around a good whiskey drink.
Making sure my hummus and my pita bread run out at exactly the same time.
Staying positive in the face of adversity.
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses. The cup of coffee in my hand. Moderate twitch.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This question is impossible. But...
A Topline:

DeLillo, Safran-Foer, Brautigan, Moore, Hemingway, Carver, Franzen.

Star Wars, Back to the Future, all the art films I'm supposed to have seen at age 30 in 2015. I have a very unhealthy love of Top Gun and Days of Thunder. I think it's the unchecked ridiculousness and outright badass speed portrayed in both. Also, that I yearn for a time when even Tom Cruise wasn't insane.

All of the food. All the time. Please. Especially Chicago style pizza. How I miss thee.

I have pretty standard "indie" taste in music... but I have a weird affinity for hilariously over the top metal and mid-90's/'00s rap (Bad Boy Family, Ca$h Money, old Wu-Tang...). I also realized that I like Dan Deacon recently and I don't know how I feel about that.
The six things I could never do without
Questions. Speed. Bikes. Books. Alone time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Existentialism. Ways to shut off the part of my brain that is telling my legs to stop. Ways to entertain my puppy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either going to bed super early to wake up and race or drinking entirely too much whiskey and embarrassing myself.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am responsible for the William H. Macy/boomerang rumor.

I'm way too busy for brunch.
You should message me if
You consider an active lifestyle not just a plus, but a requirement.
You don't mind that I get worked up over "your" vs. "you're" etc.
You enjoy scotch and/or bicycles.
You want to do something–ANYTHING–to excess. Excess is fun and helps you get to know someone. Whatever it is, let's do it x10.
Or you just want to find some snacks and make fun of people.
