My self-summary
Music/noise maker, devil's advocate, deep thinker, weirdo. Massage therapist, occasional meditator, gamer, dog-lover. I tend to defy categories, or fall messily in between categories. I'm a nice guy, pretty much everyone agrees. I tend to take things in my life at a pretty slow pace and not terribly seriously, which isn't always a good idea, but I find more often than not it's a better idea than rushing around in a hurry.

I'm a passionate guy. There are quite a few topics that I get very excited over, which include but are not limited to: religion/philosophy, muscle structure, George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series (I get down with the HBO series, too), folk music/sea shanties, acoustic guitars: how they're built, how they sound, and why, and really just a ton of other stuff that you will have to be surprised about.
What I’m doing with my life
I was doing the whole career in music thing for a few years and gradually became dissatisfied with it. I went to school, and I've been a licensed massage therapist for a year, now. I work at a popular downtown Noho spa.

The rest of the time I'm playing/writing music, hiking/cycling, reading/wasting time on the computer, or just taking 'er easy.
I’m really good at
singing sea shanties and making your muscles feel better :) (this is not me, this is for those who don't know what a sea shanty is)
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm male? No clue.

Six things I could never do without
If I had to, I honestly think I could adapt to just about anything a person can adapt to, including having all of my "things" taken away. But I'll play nice and answer in the spirit of the query:

a guitar/my voice

Howard Stern, I know he's not for everyone but I love him.

down time, I can only keep up the go-go-go for so long. I like my quiet time, dislike the rat race.

video games, I love me some games. I am not, however, a shut-in.

aaaaannd.... two other things.....
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- inconsiderate drivers, and trying to convince myself they may not be shitty people
- how things work and why
- sadly, paying bills
- getting back out in the "spotlight" and playing some gigs
- song lyrics
- random non-sense
- writing a sort of combo sitcom/sketch show in the vein of Mr.Show meets Arrested Development, but am far too lazy to take real steps towards making this happen
- writing down/organizing a stand-up comedy set
- well, I guess I think a lot....
On a typical Friday night I am
At work! Woo hooo!!!
You should message me if
- you think we seem like a good match
- you can handle a guy who isn't only out to kiss your ass and sweet talk you, in other words, I'm a real person, no faking
- you can handle a guy who is passionate, philosophical, and who appreciates crude to offensive humor
The two of us
