My self-summary
I'm a programmer happily programming my way through Silicon Valley. I have a rabbit and many fancy collared shirts. After exercising 1-2 hours a day every day for a year, I'm beginning to like it.
What I’m doing with my life
I started an organization to help kids learn how to program. I'm trying to eat a little healthier, so I'm branching out with my cooking - so far, most experiments have been successful. I'm working at my most challenging job yet, and channeling the stress into lots and lots of exercise.
I’m really good at
Making tools that make life easier for other engineers.
Cooking steak.
Changing my habits to improve my life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - A Fire upon The Deep, Anathem, Pastwatch, Prince of Nothing
Movies - Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Amelie, Wreck-it Ralph, American Beauty, Fight Club
TV - Archer, Arrested Development, Sherlock
Music - U2, Weezer, Astral Projection, Paul Simon, Carly Rae Jepsen
Food - Garlic, brussels sprouts, I make *awesome* steak.
Six things I could never do without
I don't know. I've had to go without everything at one time or another, and managed. If I tried to answer honestly, you'd get a pithy list with things like air and food. All you'd learn is that I'm pedantic. Here's what everyone else's top 6 list sounds like to me:
1. Puppies
2. Kittens
3. Luuuuurve
4. My best friend
5. Apple Computers
6. Carbon
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the subtleties of Adam Sandlers' masterful performance in "That's My Boy" (2012)
On a typical Friday night I am
Reflecting on how I could never have predicted the events of this crazy Friday. Not even if I was filling out a form on the internet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I played a Douchebag in a zombie card game photo shoot, and I was pretty good :(
You should message me if
Two possibilities:
1) The day of the month today plus the day of the month of your birthday equals a prime number.
2) It's raining or overcast and you saw a red car today.
The two of us
