My self-summary
Bookworm, eater, cook, haunter of Greenmarkets, frequenter of Murray's, cocktail maker and drinker. Lover of culture, both high and pop. Fiercely loyal and incredibly game friend. Manhattanite of 13 years who recently made the jump to Brooklyn.
What I’m doing with my life
Consuming as much culture as I can, cooking up a storm, reading voraciously, spending as much of the winter at the theater, seeing a movie, or sitting near a fireplace as possible, wandering the city, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises. (So far this year I've been to New Zealand, Australia, and the Netherlands.)

I work in technology (design research, strategy, and product development). Basically, I ask questions, figure out what people need, and solve problems. I love it.

Currently reading: Ramona Ausubel's Sons & Daughters of Ease & Plenty.
I’m really good at
I'm a superlative traveler - I'll go anywhere, anytime, and I fall asleep immediately upon boarding the plane. I can make conversation with pretty much anyone, but it takes a particular sort of person to make me want to keep listening.

I think one of the best things about New York is the incredible amount of good and great theater available to us, and I try to see at least one show, play, or weird bit of performance at least every week.

I make a nearly perfect gougère (there's always room for improvement), a killer tomato and avocado salad, and my chocolate cake is legendary in certain circles. My sticky toffee pudding is legendary in all circles. I cook up a lobster boil every summer, so if you're looking for a woman who can select, kill, and steam a dozen lobsters to perfection, I'm your gal.

I moved to an apartment with an actual dining room last year and have been hosting up a storm. I love watching groups of people come together in conversation over food and drink, seeing guests sit down as strangers and get up from the table as friends, and getting lots and lots of use out of my dishwasher. (After thirteen years without one, my dishwasher will never not be exciting to me.)

I believe strongly in the value of interborough travel. Have MetroCard, will subway.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to mention my laugh (it's enthusiastic) or my hair (it's plentiful).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Coffee, and plenty of it.
New York's theater scene.
Cheese.
Something good to read.
Bourbon or rye.
Sunglasses.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to read next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Deciding which cocktail to order/make. Spoiler alert: it's usually a Manhattan, but I've gotten a taste for the Boulevardier of late.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I had a childhood crush on Matt Lauer.
You should message me if
You're curious about the world. You like to read books or see movies or pieces of theater and then talk about them. You'd rather explore the city than sit on the couch - except when sitting on the couch is the right call. You're amazing, think I might be, or some combination of the two.

You're funny as hell and know how to go in for the kiss.
