What I’m doing with my life
Just finished my teaching certification at WCU, therefore plan to teach science this coming fall.
About half way done my masters in Geoscience. I'm finding a real passion for geology, therefore a possibility for a career change upon completion.
I’m really good at
According to my friends, I am rather good in the kitchen. I give credit mostly to my mother and her family recipes (from Louisiana), though I have created my own recipes.

I really enjoy problem solving; tangibly, as to how things work and/or how things are put together as well as the intangible as in finding solutions to social problems.

Fairly good at making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually its either a comment on my height or eyes.
Also that I'm trustworthy and kind-hearted.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Vonnegut is good. Last book read was River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey. Great book, if interested in travel, Brazil's history, Rain-forest and/or Roosevelt; I highly recommend.

Movies: I prefer going to the Ritz Theatres or the Bryn Mawr Theatre. Therefore independent, art and foreign films are good with me. Though hollywood can still catch me off guard sometimes.
I've seen the primary Paul Newman movies but will explore more of his work. The Hustler is a perfect movie (the cinematography in this movie is amazing along with script, acting and the ensemble of that film).

Music: My ipod has every genre I can think of. Currently looking for some good Spanish guitar. Major bands i'm into: Decemberists, Deathcab for Cutie, Postal Service, Hem, Rilo Kiley, Speechwriters LLC, Airborne Toxic Event, Better than Ezra, Edward Sharpe, Ella Fitzgerald, Josh Ritter, Laura Gibson, Mason Jennings, Modest Mouse, Eddie Vedder . . .. . etc. I also enjoy classical, jazz (especially New Orleans Jazz), oldies, classic rock . . .

Shows: PBS is great. One of the few places that I trust in their integrity for the news. Frontline is outstanding along with NOW and many of there other news programs.
Great shows:
Coupling (British Version)
Battlestar Galactica (reimagined version) Great social/poltical issues were brought into the show.
The League
Outsourced was good but alas canceled (Haven't seen the movie yet)
Top Gear
