My self-summary
I am the very model of a modern-major general.
What I’m doing with my life
I just got my PhD in mathematics and I am working as an instructor for a couple years at Penn State. After that, who knows?
I’m really good at
Telling jokes that only I laugh at, reciting TV episodes and wacky youtube videos verbatim, doodling, video games, crossword puzzles, wordplay, jeopardy (I love trivia), singing in the car/shower.
The first things people usually notice about me
My sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My favorite book is flatland; it is the book that made me want to study mathematics. I also enjoy science fiction/fantasy: examples of my favorites are Ender's Game, Hitchhiker's Guide, the LOTR series, Harry Potter, Dystopias (My Favorites are 1984 and Farenheit 451) etc.

I also read a lot of graphic novels; my favorite is Watchmen. It might also be my favorite piece of literature in general.
Movies/TV: For movies, I like science fiction/fantasy, comedies, action/comedies, anything PIXAR has made, most of the Marvel Comic adaptations, and to top it off, Star Wars. Rather than naming my favorite movies, it would be easier to name my favorite directors:
- Stanley Kubrick
- Judd Apatow
- Brad Bird
- James Cameron

As far as TV goes, I like Seinfeld, Adventure Time, Community, 30 Rock, HIMYM, Futurama, South Park, Breaking Bad, Moral Orel, any lots of nature documentaries. The Cosmos, in particular, holds a special place in my heart.
Music: My music tastes have been called nothing less than eclectic. The bands that I like are Queen, Rush, The Pillows, They Might Be Giants, ELO, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Eminem, Porno Graffiti, and others that I can't think of right now.

Food: Sushi. I've been eating it since I was 2.
Six things I could never do without
Cell Phone/Computer
Video Games (or some sort of hobby)
A classroom in which to teach
Something to learn from
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Besides Math, I think about the state of our country, world, solar system, galaxy, local group, universe, etc.
I tend to think of things from a very rational point of view. Not saying I can't be emotional, but even emotions have reason behind them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably playing video games or reading textbooks for fun.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have food aversion disorder. Ask me what this means if you are curious.
You should message me if
You enjoy intelligent conversations, sushi, watching movies, or just thought my profile was interesting.
