My self-summary
Human. Well, mostly human. I do have one artificial bone, but aside from that, 100% human.

I grew up in rural Connecticut, spent most of my time being a nerd/runner. Went to Cornell for college to study Rowing. I happened to pick up some computer science in my spare time, and after graduating I moved to NYC. I spent 3 years as a programmer at Google before switching to a start-up.
What I’m doing with my life
Career-wise I write code for a start-up. Outside of work I enjoy doing things that are physically active. Rowing, swimming, lifting, skiing, frisbee, tennis, and hiking are some of my favorites, but I'm game for pretty much any kind of sport or physical competition.
I’m really good at
Intellectually stimulating conversations
Kicking my socks off my feet and into the laundry bin
Solving puzzles
Finding patterns in nature
Marking emails unread without actually reading them
Learning new things
Making lists
The first things people usually notice about me
My height/build. Unless its really dark. Then its probably my conversation style, which could best be described as what would happen if John Mulaney was cast as a character in an Aaron Sorkin show.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lone Survivor
Movies: Casablanca, Indiana Jones, The Hunt for Red October, Inglorious Basterds
TV: Monty Python, Newsroom, West Wing, South Park
Plays: Much Ado about Nothing, Henry V
Colors: Blue
Breed of Swallow: European
Number: 42
The six things I could never do without
My compulsive need to always follow directions when making lists
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What is my place in the universe? What is the overall arc of human history? How do we best develop our technology and our institutions to make life on earth better?

Why did I just put the milk back in the cabinet and the cereal back in the refrigerator?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a very dramatic lip-syncer. This may include, but is not limited to, playing air guitar/drums, chair dancing, and, in the case of certain musical numbers, a one-man kick-line.
