My self-summary
I'm a painter and high school art teacher. I'm from MA originally, been in New Haven for about 8 years. A lot of my time is spent either at school or in the studio, so down time is usually a spontaneous endeavor. Sometimes i snowboard, hike or play soccer on the weekends, and sometimes i wake up late and make a breakfast/lunch omelette.
What I’m doing with my life
Painting and teaching. Expanding the edges of the picture. Working on my napping PhD. Brewing another cup. Looking for some kind of an emotional investment.
I’m really good at
dadaist stir-fry, going to weeknight shows, finding used records and books, encouraging adolescents to enjoy making art (and to take it seriously), pushing colored mud around on a canvas or panel, looking old on a skateboard.
The first things people usually notice about me
Ginger beard, glasses
