My self-summary
Hello, I'm Adam. I'm very self-aware and value critical thinking. I'm a city boy at heart, reveling in the anonymity of city-life but making my own identity, and who better to share it with than with those I hold dearest to me. I'm intuitive, adventurous, and I aim to soak up life. People say I bring out the best in them; my friends bring out the best in me. I sing and listen to music wherever I go. I have a love affair with reading, literature, and literary/film theory. I see in pictures and I imagine in cinematics. I'm frustrated with my lack in visual arts, but always support creativity. I am a philosopher, and I'm a definite nerd.

I love to laugh, am shameless, and I love to be nothing but myself. I simply just love having a good time, whether it's in the form of doing something outrageous and different, or the simplest act of sharing company with someone who I can appreciate mutual silences just as much as conversations. I am a horrible procrastinator, but I hope to work on that starting tomorrow.

I am an existentialist, insightful, and intrigued. Also I waver between being an ENFP/ENTP for those of you keeping score.
What I’m doing with my life
I've just started a Masters program at UW, and I did my BA at Wilfrid Laurier University in English and Film Studies.

When I finally have downtime, I love to simply relax, read, cook an epic meal (with dessert of course!), listen to music, watch TV/netflix, take a stroll around town or play a video game or two. Or five.
I’m really good at
Baking and cooking. Listening. Music performance: I play(ed) clarinet, piano, french horn, and love to sing.

Moving on... I'm really good at making people comfortable. Seeing people for who they are, and embracing it, surrendering myself into the sublime nature of it all. Staying up late in coffee shops and teahouses over amazing conversations. I love to laugh. But my sense of humour is... highly unconventional. I laugh at the smallest details, I can laugh hysterically at subtle jokes (even if only I find them funny. I tend to do that).
The first things people usually notice about me
My piercings, My so-indie-it-hurts glasses, My smile, My laugh (it's loud, I warn you). People also notice how approachable and open I am to everyone, friend or stranger.

Six things I could never do without
My friends. Media. Writing. My ability to think and observe. Love. Intimacy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Anything, and everything. I'm told I think too much, but I take pride in it. I wonder what life would function like without thought. It needs critical thinking, doesn't it? I'm known to stop what I'm doing at random moments to appreciate the beauty around me.I love to think and talk about philosophical issues - no holds barred. I want to be able to look back at my life when I'm older, to smile and say, "I lived a good life."
On a typical Friday night I am
...at peace, whether it be at the local pub with friends, or drinking wine on the front porch, reading, movie-watching, on a walk, going to a concert, or if I feel a Me day is needed, I'll treat myself to a night in.

I absolutely love late nights out with people. Over a drink or anything, just sitting together and enjoying each other's company, to go to bed when the sun begins to rise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well, I wear my heart out on my sleeve for people when I trust them, soooo I'll leave it at that.

...or, unless you want to know about the horrible magnetism of my body to the pavement that seems to always activate when I get on my bike... yeesh.
You should message me if
...if, quite simply, you think we'd click!

All I ask of you is honesty. It is a gift I unconditionally give and hope to get in return. The world gets a little less insane every time someone is honest to one another.

After recently coming out of a long-term relationship, I hope to make new friends, and if something grows out of that, then so be it.
The two of us
