I have freckles thanks to my redhead Irish mom. They get more prominent the longer I'm in the sun. I've grown to love them - I don't really have a choice here in LA.
I run almost every day, and try to tackle one or two marathons a year.
I'm most comfortable in flip flops and jeans, but I clean up pretty well. Football at a bar on a Sunday? Awards show? Yep, I'm game.
I talk to my grandma multiple times a week - she's one of the coolest people I know.
I work in music but can't play more than Chopsticks and Mary Had A Little Lamb on any instrument.
I love to travel and try to do at least a couple big international trips a year. When you're thinking about taking that trip to Delhi, or Budapest, or Tokyo and you want someone to tag along - I'm your girl.
I don't eat meat or fish, but I love veggie sushi.
I love to camp and need to do more of it.
I am 5 years divorced. No kids, no drama, no communication. Chalk it up in a very over-simplified way to being young and dumb and blind to red flags.
I broke my fingers and my nose while running. Two separate incidents.
I lived in Hong Kong for the better part of a year in college but only remember about 5 words of Cantonese.
I am a podcast and NPR junkie and a sustaining member of KPCC. I think sometimes about switching the money to KCRW but then I feel guilty.
I was an accessory to a relationship that was kindled at a beer bar. I now have an appreciation of good beer and the couple got married. Win-win.
I enjoy my off time and try to fill it with friends, family, travel, running and hanging with my pup. I like to go out, but honestly I'm out so much for work, I really like a good night in with a movie, a glass or two of wine and good company.
I'm also good at Power Point and Excel. Actually that's a little depressing.
Music: Way too much to list. Indie, folk, singer/songwriter, classic rock, 90s alternative, etc. Iron & Wine, Arcade Fire, Band of Horses, Beatles, CCR, Simon & Garfunkel, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Ryan Adams, The Band, Flaming Lips to name a few.
Movies: I don't claim to have great taste, just eclectic skewing a bit girly. Anything by Christopher Guest, Love Actually, Almost Famous, Bridget Jones' Diary, Lost In Translation, The Kings Speech, Bridesmaids...I'll watch anything but gore-y horror.
Food: Vegetarian. But as long as it didn't have eyes or a mother, I'll eat it.
