My self-summary
I'm a pretty easy going, middle of the road Midwesterner that will be moving to Philadelphia in early October. I've been living in San Francisco for the last nine years and, while I love the natural beauty and weather in the Bay Area, I'm excited about this transition to Philly and experiencing all the city has to offer! I'm hoping to meet new friends and hopefully someone interested in a long term committed relationship.

While it's great to have a few things in common, I think the best relationships are those that complement, not mirror each other. The only requirements are the basic ingredients of humor, communication, positive attitude, and respect (for yourself and others).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a professional fundraiser in the arts that spends a fair amount of time in the office and going to events, dinners, cocktail parties, and you name it. Put a glass of wine in my hand and I can talk to anyone about anything!

In my down time, I go to the gym every day, farmer's markets, the movies as often as I can, and the tennis courts less than I should. I love to cook and am a huge foodie - nothing makes me happier than making dinner for my boyfriend (and if you offer to do the dishes, I might just marry you). I also love international travel, and vacation regularly and often in Ptown and Palm Springs (I know - but there's a reason it's a stereotype! LOL).
I’m really good at
Mixing martinis and roasting chicken (and you'll agree after one or three of my martinis).
The first things people usually notice about me
An infectious laugh and a rather unhealthy emotional attachment to my vacuum cleaner.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I wish I had more time to read for pleasure. I'm currently reading Reynold Levy's memoir (president of Lincoln Center) and next up is The Snow Queen by Michael Cunningham. For movies I go for both small Indies as well as big budget (and, yes, chick flicks as well). Usually try to hit all the Academy Award films before the Oscars. So little time...

As for music, my tastes are pretty eclectic - from classical to jazz, to dance and accoustic. Some favorites: Mumford & Sons (but not the new album!), Sam Smith, Cold Play, Johnny Flynn, Noah and the Wale, the Fray, Carrie Underwood, Everything But the Girl, Duncan Sheik, and Ben Folds.
Six things I could never do without
my dog Pete
the beach
martini shaker
Whole Foods' lavender scented laundry detergent

(but not in that order!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what wine I'm going to have with dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at a work event or decompressing from work by enjoying a relaxing night at home fixing dinner and catching up on the DVR.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My closet is extraordinarily well organized.
You should message me if
you've not been convicted of a felony and find me remotely interesting. Or, one out of two if necessary.
