My self-summary
I have to admit that I am absolutely HORRIBLE at talking about myself on these kinds of sites, but I'll give it a try. First off, my name's Mike. I am brand new to Columbia and don't know anyone.

I absolutely love to learn things and I have a varied skill set. I truly believe that is better to know a little bit about everything than knowing everything about just one thing. Keeping with that belief, I hope to never stop learning new things and meeting new people.

To be totally honest, I am horribly socially awkward and painfully shy. I try not to let my shyness get in my way though. I've learned that I'm not happy when I live in fear of people. All that does is stopping a great conversation before it happens.
What I’m doing with my life
Well, I finished my undergrads in music and German, and I actually found a job that uses both skill sets. I moved to Columbia to work as a Braille trabscriber.

Since I'm brand new here, I hope to make close friends and maybe find Mr. Right. If it doesn't happen, I know I'll still be making strides toward who I'm meant to be.

The first things people usually notice about me
This is a tough question, but I've been told that I have a very nice speaking voice, and that I am very articulate. Also, people tell me that I can be rather blunt and like to cut to the chase when I am trying to say something.
