My self-summary
I am: a consumer of hummus, an optimistic cynic, a nerd and damn proud of it, a reader of the news, and probably some other things that I've forgotten. I love philosophy, politics, history, science, and (almost) anything intellectual. All that should be mixed in with food, banter, absurdity, walks/hikes and travel.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a PhD in economics, and a job that I really like ... but, I try not to take it all too seriously.

I've been in DC for almost two years now, and previously lived in NYC for 5 years. I grew up in Australia, and moved to the US in 2010 for grad school -- now I'm here for good!

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Implicit assumptions. What should I eat for lunch? Politics, economics and philosophy. The tyranny of formative experiences. Tautologies. Unknown unknowns. Non sequiturs. The news. Beliefs. People. Isn't procrastinating just an investment in my future productivity? Which details are not worth ignoring? Which details are worth ignoring? We're all just computer programs. Good dessert options.
On a typical Friday night I am
Ideally, eating dinner with great company, with wine, and intellectually stimulating conversation.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think the Whole Foods hummus is incomparably superior to the Trader Joe's hummus. In addition to that, I'm also looking for something deep, if possible.
