My self-summary
Employed, educated, non-smoking, never married, intelligent, religiously irreverent, tall rascal with a sense of humor seeks frisky fox for lasting adventures. Love to have fun in whatever form it takes. Never spent any time in jail or rehab. I can cook, clean, do my own laundry and manage household finances. Are you my counterpart? I tell jokes at parties that haven't livened up yet. They aren't always appropriate. I enjoy good tequila, shaken with ice. I enjoy playing board games and card games. I think there's a fine line between being flirty and annoying that seems to be partially related to how ridiculously good looking you happen to be.

Have traveled a little. Looking forward to doing more of it with the right person. Ireland, Iceland, Great Britain, Greece, classic locations within the USA and South America are all on my wish list.

At a job interview many years ago everyone at the table was supposed to vote on who would be the group leader after only having met for 5 minutes. I got all the votes. I always thought that was weird. I've been the jury foreman every time I had to be on a jury as well.

Lately been growing my hair out, for a little more than a year. I'm not sure how long I'll keep it this way, comments are mostly positive.
What I’m doing with my life
I love my job without being married to it. I work in a science field for the federal government. My retirement dream is to build a magnificent log cabin with gorgeous views of mountains and the water. In the meantime, I've been enjoying regularly running through the woods with a large group of friends and exploring the many local parks.
I’m really good at
Quoting lines from movies I've seen too many times, reaching stuff on the top shelf, editing paperwork, remembering obscure science facts, proving that it was Oswald and he was working alone, laughing at people who claim they've been abducted by aliens or any other 'woo' embraced by the uninformed. Numerology, psychic powers, dolphins are 'magic', hauntings, mediums, predictions by Nostradamus, magnet therapy, copper healing... you get the idea. If you strongly believe that a lot of those are real, we are not going to get along.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Does anyone really use this section to make any dating decisions? The only thing that would probably be a deal breaker is if you only read conspiracy theories and your favorite music is "Cop Killer" Rap.

Godfather, Inception, Pulp Fiction, Babel, American Beauty, Lawrence of Arabia, Juno, Sideways, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Taxi Driver and Gattaca are favorites. I own hundreds of movies. I need a co-pilot to watch them with me.

Rock and Roll, from the 60's to modern hits. Beatles, Johnny Cash, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, White Stripes are just a few of the many artists I enjoy.

I can find something I'll enjoy at nearly any restaurant but German, Italian and classic American comfort foods are my favorites.

I've read thousands of books in my life. Classics, Non-Fiction, Fantasy Fiction. One unusual favorite is Carla Emery's Old Fashioned Encyclopedia of Country Living.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee, Sleep, Music, Communication, Books and good beer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Log cabins. Why so many people believe strange things. Evolutionary biology.

I feel a little out of place at weddings. I dread the endless string of 'SOOOOO when are YOU going to get married?' comments. Despite all that, I've been to 20 or more of them. I've given away brides, been an usher, a groomsman and a best man.

I walk to work so my car sees more hours a year than miles.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, perhaps playing board or card games, perhaps enjoying a frosty adult beverage at a local brewery. Trivia at a local pub is another possibility. During good weather I try to get out as many weekends as possible.
Weekend activities in recent years have included fun runs, river float trips, camping, road trips, running and hiking park trails and popular events: Brew festivals, SantaCon and Bite of Seattle.
