I have come to a point in my life that I want to raise a family, and grow old with someone. Someone who I can have both an emotional and intellectual connection with. I do like someone who is well-rounded spiritually and culturally. It doesn't matter to me what your educational achievement, or profession is. What makes a person so attractive is that his confidence lies not in his good-looks or material wealth, but how he treats people in his life. The relationships he forges with those he meets. Also what makes a person so attractive is someone who obviously is good-looking but is unaware of it!
I am the oldest in the family and was raised by my Mum. Being raised in a close-knit single parent household, I have come to embody the values of loyalty and commitment. Since my parents divorced and my father passed away in my early twenties, I have stood in as the pseudo dad in the family. I am thankful to see the support that I have given my siblings both emotional and financially came into fruition in their careers and relationships.
I am also blessed that there was no need for me to have that weird "coming out" moment with my family. I guess they knew and in their own way expressed love and support. They truly believe that after all I have done, now it's my turn to be loved, a thing that I have yet to experience outside my family and friends.
My fave quote, "Love is the force that transforms and improves the Soul of the World. - Paul Coelho from "The Alchemist."
