My self-summary
I'm a man who is enjoying life and always looking to improve things around me. Friends have said that I can find fun and something positive in most things I do. Open, lively, cleans too much, and tries too many new things are phrases that have described me. For some reason I'm always the first person someone asks to help them with homework. Don't let my pictures fool you; I'm fairly serious with things that need to be. My friend recently told me, "Jake, you are my only friend that plans fun things to do anymore." I guess that's true. I am here because I am looking to add to someone else's life and to have someone add something to mine. I'm here to find a connection rather than filling some void in my life.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as an ER nurse and will be going to grad school in the spring. I love to play the guitar and piano. I'm a fairly active person, so I love anything that can make me sweat. Some of my interests are dragonboating, my men's A Capella choir, and skydiving. Check out myself on these two videos:

Other passions of mine are creating music, improving my painting, learning new delicacies in my kitchen, and volunteer work.
I’m really good at
Creating, math, science, music, problem solving, conflict resolution, making you laugh, and cuddling. Hopefully the last two aren't related.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I just stole his wallet...or did I? I've been told multiple times that I have a great smile...or I should be in Twilight. People I meet also say that I find weird things funny. I'd like to think that I rather have a superior sense of humor, or perhaps juvenile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've read all the Chuck Palahniuk and Orson Scott Card titles to date.

Music usually depends on the mood. Currently it's going to be something faster than 80 bbm and probably leaning toward punk or electronica.

When I get my weekends back, I'll will be going to as many comedy shows, concerts, and dances as possible! My last show was Lindsey Sterling; it was amazing!
The six things I could never do without
1) Sarcasm
2) running shoes
3) redo button
4) innovation
5) thesixtyone
6) Technically, a mixture of the proper ratio of correct compounds at a relatively stable pressure.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Am I doing all the things I should be doing with the talents that I have?
If I look back at my life when I die, will I be happy with the result?
How important is money compared to happiness; where is the proper balance?
What if I'm wrong about the afterlife? Man, would that be interesting.
How would my life be different if I avoided the mistakes of my past? Would it be worse?
Did my coworkers put a post-it note on my back again?
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, actually. But that will be changing soon.

Edit: My schedule, I mean. Not my employment status.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My biggest fear is being incorrect about my place in life. I suppose that's everybody's.
Oh, and bears.
You should message me if
you're mad sweet.
