My self-summary
ok, like most people, I don't relish talking about myself, but here goes. I am an easy going country boy at heart. in fact this fall I will be totally out of debt, and looking for my farm to purchase probably in Tennessee. Why TN you ask? For one reason it is a "no income tax state", 2nd, b/c the property prices have not sky rocketed like my home state of Washington. I really enjoy the farm life, and miss it a lot.
I enjoy almost anything outdoors, except maybe riding my motorcycle in the rain (I can do without that), lol.
I am really quite the handyman, as I have built homes, barns and commercial buildings. and can repair most anything. But I do know where my limit is. Unlike a lot of men I see, I really do enjoy opening doors for ladies. Yes, Chivalry is not dead! I enjoy being outdoors BBQ-ing, swimming, in fact just about anything that is around water. I am a fair cook, and even bake my own bread (my own recipe), and make my own yogurt. But honestly it would be much more enjoyable to have someone special to do this with.
What I’m doing with my life
right now I am coming up with every dollar I can to pay off my debts. and predict that I should be totally debt free by November 2012. then it off to buy the farm. for those of you from the west coast, no I do not mean it the way it means on the west coast, lol I have been looking at farms in the state of Tennessee, looking for 20 or more acres, which will allow me to do the things that I have on my five year plan for the farm.
One thing I probably should mention is that I no longer have cable TV. Last fall I realized I was watching WAY TOO MUCH TV, so the obvious answer was to get rid of the cable. Now I only watch movies on DVD, and rarely will watch one of the few shows I really miss on my laptop. (burn notice, white collar, and House), yes I realize these are "Guy" show, but then I am a guy, lol
I’m really good at
building, constuction, fixing most anything. basicly a handyman you might say. usually if I can tear it apart, usually I can repair it. I do know my limits, and there are just a few things that I will not do, such and tear into the internal part of an engine, although repairing the heads on an engine is something I have done, and am comfortable with.
The first things people usually notice about me
Lets see..... balding, short beard, mustache, blue eyes, a few extra pounds (but have lost 35 lbs since Nov. 1st. and still working on it). A bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I like to joke and tease those that I love. I have a good sense of humor, but am told it sometimes can be a bit on the dry side.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
love books, am always reading something, in addition to my devotional and of course the Bible.
TV. lol...... got rid of my cable b/c I found that I was watching WAY TOO MUCH TV..... and the logical solution was to get rid of the cable. Now I only watch DVD's. Yep, I'm usually digging thru the $5 bin at walmart, lol
Movies. love most drama, Scifi, and action, even love stories. There are certain types of stories that will ALWAYS make me cry, but you will have to get to know me to know which ones. lol
Do NOT like horror, don't see the point.
Music, I love music, usually have it on in the background. mostly oldies, soft rock, Christian talk, or political talk radio, it depends upon my mood. No rap, hard rock. country or opera. but do like Yanni.
Six things I could never do without
My Lord and Savior
my adult sons
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The farm I plan on buying this fall. and what it is I want to do on it. occasionally I also think about my future wife sharing this dream with me, but try not to dwell on this too much. I do have a written 5 year plan on what I want to do on the farm, which includes....... ah..... you wil have to ask me, lol
On a typical Friday night I am
Since I am retired, it is like most any other night. usually watching a DVD, reading or working on my home. Just wish I had someone to share it with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was in a coma for 3 month, in which God got my attention in a big way, ask me about it if you would like to know the grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father.........
You should message me if
you wish to talk with a true down to earth guy, who has been thru the mud, and has pulled himself back up. You are a woman who loves animals, and would have the desire to live on a farm, raising all our own meat, fruit and vegetables, for us and to sell weekly at the local farmers market.
The two of us
