My self-summary
experimental, curious, dedicated, vivid.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a French-American PhD student in anthropology and I enjoy thinking about social facts and making them happen myself, meeting new people and getting to know how they experience the world, going on adventures.

I have a partner with whom I am deeply in love; he's away this year and I am curious to meet new people, drink wine, watch movies and maybe cuddle in the cold, cold winter nights of Chicago.
I’m really good at
Noticing and appreciating details.
Doing things with my hands.
Thinking about things (or at least that is what I try to learn doing)
Seeing the creative potential of any situation, including the social ones (and subsequently getting myself a little disoriented)
Enjoying myself with the people I care about, and caring about them.
The first things people usually notice about me
tranquil eccentricity, my hair, the fact I look like a kid with immense glasses.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A few books I have enjoyed particularly in the past:
Didier Eribon, Retour à Reims,
Julien Gracq, Le Rivage des Syrtes,
Seth, George Sprott
Lévi-Strauss, La Pensée Sauvage,
Brad Weiss, The Making and Unmaking of the Haya Lived World

There would be too many, but I always keep in mind the Night of the Iguana, some Godard movies for colors, and Brands Upon the Brains by Guy Maddin as to weirdness. And Eric Rohmer's movies as a source of inspiration in life.

Shows: I really like circus and contemporary dance (and am very excited about seeing shows in general)

Music: A lot of rock, folk, blues, and many many other things. Including Kevin Ayers, who is not known enough.

All of the above with good food and wine.
Six things I could never do without
time to think (and ethnographic monographs), color pencils, sex, Bordeaux wine, sincerity, variety in the relationships to the people I am attached to.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trying to understand how people think and have thought in the past and how this compiled activity influences the course of events. Traveling, playing more music.
How I can use my senses.
building connections between various sets of ideas and people, and concepts, and see how everything fits together or falls apart, or something in the middle.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home - cooking and having convoluted conversations with my roommates and friends, Out- at the movies or in a tiki bar with some friends, Dreaming - in my sleep.
You should message me if
You want to get to know me better, if you want to hang out, to have an interesting conversation, engage in some kind of multimedia art activity, and many other reasons.
If you are looking for someone who is very curious socially, and very much on the talkative side. And you should message me because I will probably be too shy to message you, as looking for other women to meet on this website is something exciting, new and still somewhat intimidating to me.
