I originally wanted to be a scientist, lawyer, or president of a bank, but I am now, after pursuing a career in music, simply working as a top manager at a tiny business.
Also, tattoos. I give the impression that I got them and outgrew them and cover them with business attire, but in fact, I just got tattooed in February. I like them all, even the bad ones. They indicate brotherhood in the dudes who got tattooed before there were good tattooers everywhere.
Movies: anything: from Lars Von Trier, the Cohen Brothers, to Rambo, I am a child of the eighties, the cold war, and anything that cuts right to the human condition. Inception and The Prestige are recent favorites, I will never turn down a good war movie. Children of Men!
Shows: TV? It's so much better than it ever was! Mad Men is a particular favorite, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, the Mindy Project, Dexter are my current iTunes choices. I loved Battlestar Galactica, hated Lost. The Sopranos and Oz were great in their time, haven't aged well, but MASH certainly has.
Music: YES! Just saw Nick Cave in Philadelphia, Morrissey was the last concert before that that made me feel anything, love indie and friend's music. Jenny Owen Youngs is my current go to. I grew up on Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, had a crazy Led Zeppelin and Metallica run, Leonard Cohen, Arcade Fire, Paganini and Beethoven. I am currently thriving on Country and Western, looking for a champion to unlock hip Hop for me. Music is the fundamental language.
Food: french, italian, lao, thai, sushi, american, pennsylvania dutch, german-american, alsatian, irish, spanish, good god, lay it on me! I sell food for a living, I love food for a living.
Really, really good lipids in the kitchen (olive oil, butter, cheese)
Love, war, and poverty.
Streets, things and holding them.
