My friends describe me as intelligent, always wanting to help others, and a very hard worker. I thrive on achieving goals and personal accomplishments. I am an ESTJ Myers-Briggs personality type.
I did gymnastics when I was younger and I love Crossfit! Staying active and healthy are important and rewarding parts of my life. I am a liberal Christian but I often relate better to people who identify as atheists or agnostic for many reasons. My faith is important to me, but I'm absolutely not a "traditional Christian". I am especially concerned with social justice, which is a large part of why I work where I do.
I have an amazing life, and I love my friends and family, my career and my hobbies! Although I am perfectly content to be single, I am looking for a companion; someone who I enjoy spending time with, and who is fun to be around. A guy who respects my independence and busy schedule, and has his own life, but still wants to see me. Someone that encourages me in my pursuits, but is there for me when I fall short. Someone with a sense of humor, because that is the best antidote to a demanding world. And someone that is willing to work to earn my trust. Likewise, I hope to be an trustworthy companion to you. It's a tough world out there, and the good people have to stick together.
Trying to make the world a better place!
-I'm a total foodie and I love going out to eat and trying all types of new restaurants, wines (mostly dry reds!), craft cocktails, and definitely fancy burgers!
-My favorite artists are Fun, Mumford and Sons, Josh Ritter and the Avett Brothers, followed by a long list of others. I will listen to any artist at least once, but I am also pretty picky, so if I don't like it, I won't spend too much more time on it.
-TV shows I'm currently into: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, and American Ninja Warrior.
-Health/medicine/nutrition/science and other non-fiction. The best books I've read recently are Finding God in the Waves, In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan and The Language of God by Francis Collins.
-Work that I enjoy
-Good food (lots of it!)
-CrossFit and Olympic lifting
-Why do people of lower socioeconomic status vote for the Republican party?
-Why are many Christians so obnoxious?
-Why is it so hard to find quality guys these days?
-You're highly educated. Because then we are so much more likely to get along well. Also: grammar IS a deal breaker. If you send me a sloppily written message, there is no chance at all that I will respond. Sorry.
-You eat or are interested in a paleo/primal diet and want someone to be nerdy about nutrition with. And if you do CrossFit we should definitely talk!
-You're a liberal Christian, because we're still pretty rare, so I'd love to meet you!
-You enjoy checking out new restaurants and want someone to go with.
Please do NOT message me if:
1) You voted for Trump
2) You're just looking for causal sex
3) You smoke (anything!), use drugs, or have any criminal record beyond speeding tickets
4) You have children and you're looking for anything more than friendship. Nothing wrong with kids, we're just at totally different stages of our lives
