My self-summary
"Consulting detective looking for blogger: Enquire within."

I am a rather nerdy transman looking for people to connect with. I've kind of already tried the whole OKCupid thing and not had much success, but I'm vaguely trying it again.

I like the Victorian aristocracy, video games, comic books, drawing, classical music, trashy magazines, etc.

I'm studious but strongly opinionated, ambitious but lazy, deadpan snarky and (hopefully) well-dressed. I'm introverted and prefer nights in, gaming or browsing the Internet.

I'm a Slytherin, 3w4 and INFP for anyone who's interested in personality typing systems.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a MSc student on hiatus due to poor health, previously graduated with a BSc in Psychology. Currently self employed as an artist. (My art website is www.juliangrayart.com)
I’m really good at
blathering on about things I'm interested in.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the fact that I dress snappily, and that I tend to gesture with my hands far too much in a slightly manic manner when I'm excited.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Picture of Dorian Gray and Sherlock Holmes. I also have a lingering fondness for Animorphs from my childhood.
Plays: The Crucible, Macbeth, The Importance of Being Earnest, musicals
Movies: Equilibrium (whaat? It's a guilty pleasure), Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
TV Shows: Doctor Who, Sherlock (despite it being full of flaws), Granada!Holmes (feat. the legendary Jeremy Brett)
Comics: Watchmen, Batman
Music: Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Radiohead, Muse, classical music, some britpop and modern pop, just a whole variety really
Video Games: Assassin's Creed 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1&2, Minecraft, Dragon Age, Guild Wars 2
Youtubers: The Yogscast, JonTron, Markiplier, MikeJTV, etc.
The six things I could never do without
> The Internet
> Video games
> Art/a means to draw
> Privacy and quiet when I need it
> Cats (they are amazing)
> ugh IDK I can't think of any more
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"Will series 4 of Sherlock be any better than the tragic mess that was series 3?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Internet-ing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I don't like Terry Pratchett. (Gasp!)
You should message me if
We have common interests, and you have a more interesting conversation opener than "Hi, how are you?"

I find it really hard to maintain a long term message conversation, so if you think we've hit it off then you should ask to continue our chat somewhere else where I'm less likely to forget to respond!
