My self-summary
I am a Bay Area native and love everything Northern California has to offer. Looking for a great guy who can make me laugh. I try and find humor in every day life--why not?

I'm smart and have no problem speaking my mind, but I do it thoughtfully. I love to learn and try and read as much as possible. I'm not afraid to nerd out once in a while. I love that I'm a little nerdy, and love that in a guy too.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching middle school is a complete trip, and my war stories are absolutely hilarious. I love what I do, and can't imagine another career, even on the "worst" of days.
I’m really good at
making people laugh, throwing dinner parties, drinking wine, writing, skiing, understanding/ analyzing confusing literature, being a fun aunt, and being a good friend. And I kick ass singing in the car on my way to work.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my eyes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just about any kind of fiction. Raymond Carver, Denis Johnson, Zadie Smith. Twain. Cool and funky contemporary and historical fiction. I'm a complete literary nerd, and I'm hands-down okay with that. I also love my New Yorker and Bon Appetit subscriptions.

The Party, The Big Lebowski, So I Married an Axe Murderer and Train-wreck are a few faves. Jeopardy, Stranger Things, Parks and Rec, anything that makes me laugh hard. The snarkier, the better.

I love seeing live shows. U2 to Black Crows to Willie Nelson to Wilco to the Stones. Really big Tom Waits and Elvis Costello fan. Love the New Wave station on XM.

When I am away from SF, I really miss Mexican food and sushi. Love a good steak every now and then. Anything inventive and creative. We're so spoiled here!
Six things I could never do without
Pen and paper

My camera
My cowboy boots

Metacognition 🤓
On a typical Friday night I am
Winding down from my week. I usually meet friends for a drink after work, but then I am absolutely okay going home and having some wine and watching a movie or reading a book. But Saturday, that's the money melon.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a fear of communal work refrigerators. Seriously.
You should message me if
You want to meet for a drink. Good luck!
