My self-summary
I grew up in the Twin Cities, left for college, and moved back after going to school and living in New Orleans. I'm INFJ but I think I'm right on the cusp between introvert and extrovert. When it comes right down to it I'm a friendly person who will probably like you. I'm adaptable and I love change. I'm a fan of humanity in all of its variety and absurdity and prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.
What I’m doing with my life
I studied Jazz piano in school but I've spent the last 5 years or so getting back to my roots with classical. There is nothing more satisfying than learning music that I thought was beyond my ability. My latest hobby has been home improvement. Now that we're finally in the future, most things can be DIY with the right tools and the interwebs...
I’m really good at
details, cooking with a recipe, punctuality, affection, complimenting, communicating, evaluating, navigating, ruminating, cat wrangling.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Sushi, Thai, Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican.

NPR, Earwolf, Radiolab, Mythbusters, Mr. Show, Louie, Lost, The Wire, GOT, Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Westworld.

Movies: A Serious Man, Mary and Max, Sexy Beast, Contact, Donnie Darko, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Ghostbusters

Books: House of Leaves, The Sound of Building Coffins, Confederacy of Dunces, The Things They Carried, Siddhartha, Atmospheric Disturbances, Stroke of Insight.

Music: 60-70's soul, funk, and fusion. Mahavishnu, Miles and MMW. Classical - especially the Russians. Lots and lotsa stuff. Lately I've been listening to Buke and Gase and Thundercat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's going to happen next? The progression of life. I don't know that I believe in any type of guiding force, but I appreciate the seemingly random acausal events that combine to have great significance in our lives. The thousands of little decisions that we've made that have lead us up to THIS moment and the thousands of little moments that could have led us down a different path. The fact that our entire lives pass in the cosmic blink of an eye. But I would bet most of my thinking is taken up by what's required for daily human routine. So nothing so profound
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't want to get too personal but you should know that I have six big toes on my right hand (in place of fingers). Don't worry it's barely noticeable... I'll wear my specially made mittens when we're on a date...
You should message me if
You are genuine; you don't take yourself too seriously (but seriously enough); you're open minded; you value kindness and compassion. I don't know, just do it.
