My self-summary
I'm a half-Liverpudlian half-Welshman, coming neatly packaged with neither accent just to confuse everyone. I've been living in London for about 2 and a half years now and I love it as much as the day I moved here. There's so much more to do here than up in the wilds of North Wales, funnily enough.

I enjoy music a lot. I'm pretty sure I'd go nuts if I went deaf. I go to a lot of gigs when I have the time and money, which is sadly not as often these days.

I am a massive geek (as if you couldn't tell from the glasses...) and I get a lot out of doing stuff like playing board and video games.

I also enjoy sports. I'm a football fan and from the red side of Liverpool. I'll watch most sports besides golf and cricket.

In 2010/11 I spent 6 months travelling around Europe. It was without a doubt the best experience of my life, and I would love to do something similar again.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to get out and see as much of London as possible. I still feel like a newbie after 2 years. There's so much to see; plays, gigs, museums, restaurants. I just wish there was time to do them all!

In my spare time I do a lot of writing, both fiction and for websites/blogs. I recently started my own site in order to collect all of my writing together and to give me somewhere to put all of my dumb opinions.

I occasionally get treated like a genuine member of the press by PR agencies and this is clearly a sign that we're all living in the Matrix.
I’m really good at
I can cook pretty well if I put my mind to it.

Writing, I hope, or else boy am I barking up the wrong tree...

I'm handy in a pub quiz, thanks to my brain's ability to collect otherwise useless information like a sponge.

If you show me a flag there's a 95% chance I can tell you what country it belongs to. I'm a useful boy to have around for all your flag related needs, which I can tell are many!
The first things people usually notice about me
I think probably my eyes, which are now conveniently framed by glasses (with genuine no foolin' prescription lenses and everything!)

Either that or my distinctly non-Scouse, non-Welsh, BBC English accent. I can affect either on request, though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read mostly Sci-Fi and Fantasy books but I've been branching out a lot more recently. I have a bunch of history books on my shelf from my time at uni and I'm trying to make my way through some of them at the moment. Got to read them eventually, right?

The Discworld series are all excellent. I have also been consuming the works of Philip K Dick at about the rate he consumed mind altering substances, which was quite quickly.

I enjoy films, but generally prefer to watch/marathon cartoons and TV shows. Favourites include the West Wing (best show ever), Archer, Bob's Burgers, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Monty Python, the Day Today and a bunch of others. I'm currently ploughing through King of the Hill, Adventure Time and Game of Thrones, and I'm begrudgingly giving HIMYM it's ninth season because hey, I came this far.

It's a big cliche but I'll listen to pretty much anything. My all time favourite band is Brand New, but recently I've been listening to a bunch of La Dispute, Arcane Roots, Reuben, Alexisonfire and a load of other post hardcore.

As for food, I've made it my quest to try every 5* rated burger on the Burgerac London Burger App, so if you want to come on an artery-clogging adventure I'm your guy I guess.
Six things I could never do without
1. My dad; cheesy, I know, but we're really close, and according to several friends I am his clone rather than his son.
2. My friends; similarly cheesy but they are badical.
3. The Internet; where else can I see videos of pugs stuck in a toilet and manatees bumping in to glass with hilarious sound effects? Because seriously if you know somewhere then tell me.
4. Books; reading is a big part of my life. I always have a couple of books on the go and usually about 8 piled up behind them waiting to be read.
5. Music; I love music. It makes me do all the emotions. Often at once, which can be messy.
6. US Netflix; my eyes have been opened and I'll never go back to the way it was before and if you try and make me I'll scream and scream until I'm sick.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
I tend to be in my flat watching a boxset, in the pub having a quiet bevvy or hanging out with friends playing games or baking cakes or something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm mortally terrified of moths. I can't even be in the same room as them.

There used to be a video on YouTube of me dressed in a tweed suit, chasing a turkey (unsuccessfully) round a field in Staffordshire. I swear it was a promotional video for a local pub, honest guv.

I have an addiction to Dairylea. It's under control though, and I could stop any time I want...

I would love feedback on which one of these three is the most embarrassing.
You should message me if
If you can direct me to videos of pugs doing amusing things, or recommend me a restaurant/band/TV show/play/technique for eradicating moths.

You weren't put off by my deliberate and egregious use of the word 'badical'.

And, of course, if you want to/think we would get on!
