My self-summary
Just moved to Seattle from San Francisco.

I manage the software for a few large publishing sites. I'm from Maine and I've walked to Canada.

You should follow me on Twitter.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm slowly switching from doing a lot of consulting work to doing my own projects. I just published a photo history book of my great-grandfather's World War I photos. I just got my f̶i̶r̶s̶t̶ second motorcycle.

I'm super busy, but I'd like to be super busy with someone else.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at making people laugh, working with computers, not caring what people think about me, working with other people, and explaining things. I'm trying to get better at visual design, brewing beer and cider, and rock climbing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm outgoing and quick-witted. I am extremely demanding of myself.

I'm a straight shooter. I'll tell you exactly what I think, and I have a terrible poker face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a lot of periodicals and online articles. I also like Classic Feynman, How to Win Friends and Influence People and some basic sci fi stuff. I'm partway through the Game of Thrones series, loved The Martian and

Movies I love are:
Amélie, Catch Me If You Can, Exit Through the Gift Shop, Pan's Labyrinth, Primer, Stop Making Sense, Young Frankenstein, Spirited Away

I watch way more TV than movies, I like the bite-sized format better. TV shows I like are generally older shows, lots of them British. Futurama tops the list: I've seen it at least forty times end to end, it's ridiculous. I like comedies, documentaries, mysteries, sci fi. Some examples from my library:
Futurama, Black Books, Breaking Bad, Cowboy Bebop, Samuari Champloo, The IT Crowd, Trailer Park Boys, Game of Thrones, Venture Brothers

Math rock, most of the "-wave" genres, chiptune and dad rock are my jams. Sometimes throw in a little jazz too. I keep track of Bandcamp albums I like here.

I'm currently expanding my food tastes. I'll try just about anything right now, as long as it's not too spicy. I LOVE dumplings, beer, and making pasta or burgers at home.
Six things I could never do without
Internet access
A warm, comfortable bed
and maybe motorcycles
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Efficiency, design and process flow, what I'm going to learn next and how to have the most fun possible.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually I'm at home working or watching a movie. Sometimes I find a party, sometimes I go out with friends.

Let's go dancing. Let's get drunk and shout about the Internet. Let's spit off a bridge, I don't know.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was little, I snagged some nudie postcards off a neighbor's fridge. I didn't get in trouble for it, but I did have to give them back. A couple years later our neighbor mailed me some postcards of naked girls skiing, which I think I had for about ten seconds before my mom confiscated them.
You should message me if
You should message me if you're passionate about what you're doing and want to have an interesting and engaging conversation about it.

People I'm interested in are aspirational, exciting, and demanding of themselves. I'm also interested in meeting designers, artists, musicians and tech people. My dream is to have a digital Charles and Ray Eames thing going on.
