My self-summary
Okay, so after much procrastination and a few comments about how I should fill this out ...

I was born and raised in Chicago. I've lived in Paris, NYC and LA, but but always come home and outside of some long projects abroad and around the country would love to stay here. I've got a couple of degrees (most from Northwestern and my JD from Loyola). I have two French Bull dogs who act as surrogate kids for me (Yes, they have Xmas stockings). It's very important to me that whoever I'm with likes animals. I think dogs are a constant reminder of what unconditional love is and that it's a magnificent thing to have in our lives.

As for my personality: I like to think I'm witty, smart, logical, creative and an all around "nice guy"(Who doesn't, right?). I'm super competitive and can be stubborn at times. I'm a far better human being after 10AM and a large espresso. I'm sentimental.

I love to shock people and tend not to give a f#ck about being politically correct. I'm a liberal EX-Republican (#NeverTrump) To quote Henry Drummond: " I don't swear just for the hell of it. Language is a poor enough means of communication. I think we should use all the words we've got. Besides, there are damn few words that anybody understands. " Oh, and I quote a lot. I believe in the power of words and feel if someone has said it perfectly, why mess with it.

I would love to meet that someone special. You know: when it just clicks. A person who makes you smile when you're at your worst and who makes "good times" seem like "great times".
What I’m doing with my life
LIVING: “I went to the suburbs [woods] because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms.” Henry David Thoreau

WORKING: After years of freelance, I just started "showrunning" for a TV show ... and I'm adjusting to the "go to an office everyday" thing again. I'm also a recovering attorney - turned playwright & stage director, turned filmmaker now turned TV guy.

LOVING: TBD
I’m really good at
Problem solving on the fly, polishing scripts, mingling, getting strange animals to like me (domestic ones ...not like White-faced Saki Monkeys and Armadillos). Singing Elvis songs at karaoke ... I'm not sure if this should go into the most private thing I'm willing to admit here?
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and hands. And that I tend to switch between and my beard and goatee weekly

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Plot lines and twists.
On a typical Friday night I am
There ain't no answer. There ain't gonna be any answer. There never has been an answer. That's the answer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I absolutely never had any concept of how important travel was to women until I joined this site. Addendum: I hate snow! Addendum to Addendum: I hate cold much more than snow.

I do prefer to actually talk in person or on the phone to see if we get a long - so please no permanent internet pen-pals.
