My self-summary
Many of the profiles that I've read have similar statements in this section: "I'm no good at self-summaries"; "I can't be summed up in a couple of paragraphs"; "I hate this part of writing a profile", et cetera et cetera. I totally agree! It's hard to describe oneself in this format but I'll give it a try. Below I've listed things I love to do and hopefully it will give you an indication of who I am and what I'm looking for in a date.

Things I love to do: Talk about current events over coffee at a café - I dig neighborhood joints where the waitstaff and clientele are laid-back and the coffee americano is robust; collaborate on creative projects (esp. theater); eat scrumptious food at low-key restaurants; go to Prospect park and hang; go to the theatre; get lost on New York City's mean streets with no specific destination in mind; long conversations that go round and round but somehow have a beginning, middle and end.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an educator.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at Scrabble. (I dare you to challenge me to a game). I'm a sick baker!! My homemade breads, cream cheese pound cake, melting moments and brownies are what's up. Oh and my biscuits are killer!
The first things people usually notice about me
My height. My shoe size - fourteen.

Often the first things people say when they meet me are: "Wow, you're tall!" or "Your feet are so big!". It used to annoy me but I've learned to accept my large-ness.

Six things I could never do without
Family, friends, music, wallet, phone, peanut butter. In that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ethics. Theater. Religion. Sex. Politics. Art.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going to meet friends for drinks and/or dinner.

Going to a dinner party/seeing a play/going to a musical event of some kind.

Cooking an easy and practical dinner at home. Afterwards, I'll read a book or watch something in my (way too long) Netflix queue.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think manscaping is overrated.

I have a bi-weekly dance party at my apartment. So far, I'm the only one on the dance floor, which is a shame because the DJ is crazy talented! [brushes off shoulder]
