My self-summary
Time for an update!

I've been in the Milwaukee area for about 5 years now after moving out for a promotion. I've really enjoyed it out here although I haven't gotten out as much as I would like.

I'm more of an introverted person who enjoys quiet time, but I also like to stretch myself and get out and about and anytime I can hang around with friends or family is a great time.

I enjoy getting out to Brewer games with regularity. This year I'm trying to hit more of the Milwaukee festivals. I like hitting the cinema (it helps being off on Fridays and being able to get to a morning movie while there is almost no one there) and do that quite often. I always enjoyed the theatre but haven't found a theatre buddy since moving out here, so I haven't been in quite a few years. I'm into cigars quite a bit so I spend quite a bit of time on my porch and hanging out with friends I've met through that hobby. I also enjoy video games, going out trying new restaurants, and recently working on my health by eating better and exercising more.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend a lot of time at work but I've been getting better at pairing that down. My work week used to easily take up 60 hours a week but I'm getting closer to 45 - 50 which is nice.

As mentioned I enjoy a cigar pretty regularly and I spend a lot of time at Miller Park this time of year. I hang out with friends whenever I can - honestly, it doesn't much matter what I'm doing, if I'm with people I enjoy being with then it's a great time.

I also am trying to get out walking at least every other day, but generally more like daily. Am looking at ways to extend my exercising beyond just walking and looking at starting a blog to document his journey.
I’m really good at
Being friendly.

I may be (most likely will be) quiet at first, but once I get to know someone and I open up, I believe I am a lot of fun to be around.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would think it is my sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I enjoy sitting down with Stephen King now and again. I purchased a bunch of graphic novels (fancy for "long comic book") about a year ago and haven't yet had a chance to dive into those. Soon, hopefully. I also have the curse of buying tons of books off Amazon for my Kindle that I just haven't gotten around to reading yet - so there is tons of stuff waiting for me there.

Movies: Shakespeare in Love, Shawshank Redemption, Role Models, Spaceballs, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original, of course), Serenity, Band of Brothers, The Hangover, Kevin Smith movies as a whole.. recently I truly fell in love with Guardians of the Galaxy. As a bit of a comic book geek, this is an amazing time for those types of movies.

Music: Again, I am into a little bit of just about everything. There are some things that I wouldn't choose to listen to, but my musical tastes change with the day. Country, Hip-Hop, Rock, Oldies.. I'm all over the place. If I were to name some of my favorite artists, I would go with Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks, Eminem, Godsmack, Jim Croce, to name a few. I recently bought a new car and Sirius XM Pop station Hits 1 was on the radio - and now I'm hooked on Pop Top 40. It's a bit embarrassing, but yes, you'll find me driving around town singing along to Taylor Swift from time to time.

Food: Well, I *am* a large guy, y'know! I haven't had a lot of experience with different ethnic foods, and I really want to get out and do that. I do really enjoy Chinese, Italian and Mexican food. 'Course, I like a good burger as much as the next guy, too. The only thing that I would steer away from at times is seafood, mainly because I never ate it growing up and do not have a taste for it. I do want to begin dabbling more into that area, though.
Six things I could never do without
1. My family.
2. My friends.
3. My cell phone.
4. My laptop.
5. A good cigar.
6. Sports.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
work and how to better myself.

Although I do like to take time occasionally and consider ways that we are all connected - or not connected. How I can be parked next to someone at a stop light, just a mere 4 or 5 feet away, and we have no idea who the other is, what the other is doing, where their day is taking them. At times I think we are all more disconnected than perhaps we should be.

I also tend to spend time trying to figure out how to improve my life, typically this revolves around my health. In January 2015 I started putting some of those plans into action by eating healthier and beginning to walk more. I've lost a lot of weight but still have room to grow (or shrink, I suppose). I look for new ways to better this journey I'm on and am looking to begin blogging about it as well.
On a typical Friday night I am
There isn't a typical Friday, really. Sometimes I have plans, often times it happens on the spur of the moment. I try to get out with friends when I'm able. This summer I am trying to get out to the Milwaukee festivals as much as possible. I also tend to go to a lot of Brewer games, and the Friday night games tend to be ones I make it to more than others.

Also, while I haven't done so in a while, I love getting out for a good fish fry on Friday nights as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm overly shy.. to a fault, really. I have been working on it, and once I know someone I open up quite a bit, but at first I can be awful quiet. I've made a lot of strides in this area lately, tho..
You should message me if
you would like to speak to a nice guy. :)
