My self-summary
I change my own motor oil in my car because I like to do things on my own and believe in the DIY mentality. I say thank you to servers when they bring me my food or refill my water because people should be courteous to each other. I like to explore and try new things, places and food. I am an engineer, home owner, and pursuing happiness.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm focusing on enjoying life as much as I can. I work for a major telecommunications company, helping to provide data services throughout northern California. For fun, I've played in a kickball league where I've had a blast playing like a kid again while drinking a beer. Working out has become a habit of mine. One of my greatest satisfactions is reaching my goals in the gym. I'm new to cycling and enjoy riding along the American River on warm days.
I’m really good at
learning about things that interest me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think the first thing people try to do when they meet me is to guess my ethnicity. People have guessed a bunch of different things but rarely do most people predict right on the first time. I bet you can’t guess what I am! Although the side bar to the right kinda gives you a clue haha!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: My collection of music primarily focuses on rock music but it does include a little bit of everything. Some of my favorite bands are Coheed and Cambria, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, Sum 41. I’ve seen about half of these bands live in concert and they are all epic!

Food: Everything! I enjoy finding new food and palces to eat at.

Books: Some novels I've read: East of Eden, Treasure Island, Catcher in the Rye, and Blood Meridian, 1984, Brave New World, The Grapes of Wrath, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Movies: Drive, Talladega Nights, Walk Hard, Anything from Quentin Tarantino, Saving Private Ryan, …Obviously there’s a ton of great films.

Shows: Breaking Bad, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Workaholics, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Fast and Loud, Shameless, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Inside Man
The six things I could never do without
A Barbell - learning to lift has been one of the best things I ever did. I love striving to reach my performance goals.

Warm Sunny Weather – when you can just walk outside and not be bundled up so you can feel the sun on your skin is just awesome.

Good Music - even the most mundane task can be fun when you can just jam out to an awesome song at the same time.

Avocados - delicious and good for you

The Internet - got to stay connected to the world
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next adventure I can go on. I really want to make an effort to travel to see and try new things. I explored Seattle last year, which was fun. I also spent 18 days in Mexico last August, where I had a blast. Now I need to pick the next location to visit.
On a typical Friday night I am
Actually I'm pretty tired on Friday nights from the work week and enjoy just staying home and watching a movie. On nights that I do go out, I like to go downtown for some sushi and saki bombs and then head to a bar for further drinking lol.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to be heavier but decided to change my life and lost 50lbs a few years ago.
You should message me if
if anything you read resonates with you even a bit and you're willing to meet up to learn and discuss our interests more.
