I'm a bit of a goth, with some slightly geeky tendancies - though mostly limited to LARP these days. I love music - listening to bands, and going out clubbing and dancing. I play instruments(Guitar, Doumbek, other things I pick up) but more for fun than for being in any sort of band, though I used to DJ a bit. I think more stuff in life is amazing than people realise.
Too my endless shame, I'm actually quite reasonable and responsible these days.
I've given up on being lazy, and have started doing bouldering which I'm getting reasonably good at. So hanging off walls, yeah!
I am currently theoretically trying to learn blues guitar.
But also.... 'Vellum' and 'Ink' by Hal Duncan; 'American Gods' by Neil Gaimen; 'East of Eden' by John Steinbeck; Cabal' by Clive Barker; 'Dangerous Liasons' by Choderlos de Laclos; 'The Dumas Club' by Arturo Perez Reverte; 'Dreams in the Witch House' by H P Lovecraft; anything by Borges. I like loads of books - and have probably missed some I think are great.
Movies - Heathers, Pump up the Volume, Empire Records, Confessions of a Trickbaby, Fight Club, The Doom Generation, Nowhere, Films with Cheerleaders in, Loads of arty/foreign stuff.
Music - theStart, Smashing Pumpkins, Cruxshadows, Apoptygma Beserk, Beborn Beton, Dresden Dolls/Amanda Palmer, New Model Army, Seabound, Jack off Jill, The Gathering, The Cure, David Bowie, Portishead, The Pixies
Pretty varied, I guess. When I go out, I like to dance to Rock, EBM, Darkwave, Futurepop. Industrial, Trance, Goth, Indy, Metal, Folk. I can probably be caught dancing to all sorts of dreadful stuff, because I love to dance.
Food - I love going out to eat - Sushi, Dim Sum, Italian, Tapas. I'm not exactly a foody, but do appreciate good food.
People! I love being around people.
Music - because life should always be accompanied by a soundtrack.
