My self-summary
An introspective, introverted, semi-reclusive person who loves pets and children. Seriously! Not looking for a romantic partner -- just friends. Much more important, anyway. Friendship, I mean.

I am nurturing, vulnerable, and sardonic
What I’m doing with my life
I live in an old little house in the Central Coast of California with hardwood floors. I love my house and am working on getting the garden going, using native plants whenever possible. There's a huge lemon tree that produces more fruit than I can ever use or even give away to friends. Two white owls hang out most nights on some telephone cables right in front of my house. There are a number of squirrels, a few red foxes, and one night I woke up to a small mountain lion in the back yard. I live a half block away from the state park so it seems I get many furry visitors. :)

I have a wonderful cat who "chose" me by coming to my backyard half-dead. I set out food for her and she slowly became healthy. After a few months she decided I was "her" property. 2 1/2 years later, she is in full control of our little household. As it should be whenever a cat is around. :-)

Every Sunday night I play poker with a group of friends -- not for money -- but we're thinking of betting services soon. Our game is a variation of "Texas Hold 'Em." We just changed it slightly and renamed it "Fizzbin Hold 'Em." You'd need to know Star Trek: TOS to understand the Fizzbin.
I’m really good at
Being honest. Being a good friend. Many other things that I decline to go into.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a redhead.

Six things I could never do without
Love, chocolate, Colin Firth movies, physical affection, my friends, books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How wonderful it would be to live in a Star Trek world.

That Angelus is *much* sexier than Angel.

How has the Christian right been able to erode the separation of church and state.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to get a Royal Fizzbin while hanging out with friends; or watching an interesting movie -- or reading -- at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a real, honest to god security blanket and I use it!
You should message me if
You understand that tribbles really exist; you understand that love and lies may go together but still try to be honest; you understand that the parrot in the Monty Python sketch really is dead and not just pining for the fjords.
